Any player that requires a stoppage for "distress" should be disqualified for the remainder of the game and the following three games. If the are too hurt to get off the ice, they are too hurt to play for the next three games.
These announcers sound dead and I love how much they have to dumb down the rules explanations. ESPN can have MLB and NFL but leave the NHL to Canadian broadcasters. 🙅♂️

WTF is happening? I remember when men played professional sports. Now it’s drama queens everywhere. I miss the days when you knew a guy was ACTUALLY injured because he didn’t get up right away. Now, the pussification of America has made its way to my beloved hockey. Just sad we stopped raising men
Coming from a stars fan that probably should have only been 2 minutes or 4 at most. Not sure if you can call a double minor for anything other than stick infractions though.
Im a stars fan since -84 and thats not a 5 and game. But I like to think if u are a player that always keep doing stuff thats what u get. Its almost like if you keep close to trouble it finds you. Some never learn
They went to Dave Jackson as the in house TV referee (consultant) who agreed with the call. His assessment really broke it all down.

If this league is so guarded about head and face injuries, time for bigger better helmets that actually stay on, have an actual chin strap, face guard, and complimentary tampon.
2 minute penalty for elbowing should have covered it. Blackwell didn't even sit out the rest of the game. And for those that say "It's Bertuzzi" I mean I get it he plays wild hockey. But he's been suspended only twice – 2016 (AHL) and 2018 for 2 games. PPL here acting like he's getting sussied every other weekend.

He tried to make it look like it was just a follow through but he swung that elbow on purpose. It wasn’t a natural movement
