Little honor or respect among this new generation of entitled whining brats playing the game. We see this pathetic stuff more and more now that the hard physical element of NHL hockey is diminishing, and when players knew and expected that doing this dangerous stuff would either get you a game misconduct or a well deserved pummeling from an opponent. In today's NHL the refs are so bad and inconsistent, combined with fewer gentlemen who will stand up for the code and morals essentially has made the NHL what the Swedish/Czech/Russian elite leagues are: very skilled but full of cowards injuring or attempting to injure players and whining and moaning like Soccer, with little fear of retaliation from discipline or a beating.
Painful to watch a talented player like Mitchkov resorting to dum gutless stuff like swinging his stick against the head of another player. This is what happens considering the above state of hockey affairs.
1) im convinced that all nhl refs should be fired immediately and replaced by peewee league refs as im sure they could do a much better job

That Michkov and Byfields incident was a missed call by the referees five minutes should have been assessed to Michkov for the stick swing looks like the referees need more training in their field of work no referee raised their hand to signify penalty looks like they need to decide by using the Rock Paper scissor method as to who will make the call.
No idea how this isn't a suspension. I'm assuming the only reason they only fined him was no history (duh) and he didn't cause any injury. Imagine he injuries Byfield there. How many games does he get? 5?
