Move dosent make any sense. Management claimed they wanted to give him opportunities yet it never happened even though frankly he deserved it. I really do question management sometimes it’s gotten worse the last 3 years or so.
I would even say it almost feels like a lie at this point but who knows.

I appreciate Sully but this is where him being stubborn impacts the team. Nieto brings almost nothing to the table. Harkins gave us like 4 goals last season and provided very little of anything else but Sully cemented him in the lineup. Very frustrating to watch as a fan. I hope Puljujarvi gets picked up it's almost certain he will

I'm actually not shocked. He hasn't played in a while… But it also doesn't make sense because he did play well. I think he just needed that time, and that consistent play- too bad he didn't (and won't likely) get it.

I don’t understand why Sully just puts guys in the doghouse…. Also why he doesn’t properly utilize players (ex: Rackell for years clearly showed such dominance on Sid’s w/guentzal line and Rust should have been on Geno’s line to boost him).
Like WTH does O’Conner, Nieto, Accari do for this team at all. Little to no skill just “grindy” guys (or so Sully/Dubas want to believe)…

We should have sent Hayes down. No offence to him but he plays walking pace hockey, the hockey defo left his skates a while ago. Could use him as a locker room guy for the AHLers

I do not get it. Young guy, a year removed from major surgery. But they keep icing nieto. You cannot claim that you use analytics and then waive jesse and not ____fill in the blank__. There are some guys that sullivan just doesnt like and other guys that sullivan just loves. i.e. jankowski, harkins, heinen, mcginn, dom simon, oconnor in the love column. mccann, rodrigues, lafferty in the dislike column. He just would not play mccann in the top 6. gave him away for nothing because he wasnt the 3rd liner he wanted.

Yeah I do not understand this move. There's at least 5 forwards on the roster that I would play Puljujarvi over. Nieto, Acciari, Hayes, O'Connor, and Beauvillier. Honestly the Penguins player evaluation is very confusing at times.
Management and coaching on this team is a shit show.
I seriously doubt that he will go unclaimed , Im thinking detroit, columbus, chicago , or san jose will put in a claim for him
