Good 🌄 Gil, how are you? I hope you had a nice New 🏆. It was a bad performance, but it wasn't a good performance either. Casey Czisikus cost them one goal because he couldn't stay on side. JG Pageou tied the score, but they gave up the GW goal, that rattler, John Tavares scored the empty net goal. The Islanders treaded lightly and he still bit them. The PK was good, and Ilya Sorokin was solid. Now let's hope The 2025 part of this season takes part of the season takes a turn for the better. Patrick Roy's got to keep this team motivated. They can’t score. Nothing new. But they’ve got all their pieces back so that’s not an excuse. They do have guys that are streaky. Sorokin doesn’t need a lot but he’s not getting any. Time will tell. Good news. Roy not quitting. Neither is team from what I can see.

Hi Gil, Happy New Year! I am visiting my family on the Island and we are going to tomorrow’s game. It’s for memories Gil, that’s all it is. We saw yesterday’s game and we played with no intensity. The urgency is just not there. I’d like to see Lee, Jg, Palmeri and Nelson gone at the TDL! Mayfield, Pelech and Dobson? Just a horror show defensively. Domi having a “convo” with Barzie to start the game was discouraging. Seeing Lee get pushed around is a rarity but he got badly pushed around. It’s a bad mess but we’re going to create memories as a family. Take care Gil! May this New Year bring luck and happiness to you and your family. Ps—I feel Roy is resigned to the talent he’s been given and I feel his comments are based on his talent level—I feel you’re correct. “Based on what I have, this wasn’t bad”.
As I discussed with you in our emails, ownership should sell this team to someone who cares, and use the money toward their real estate interests, because they obviously do not care about this team!

Bad play or not a loss is a loss and when you have a roster that’s terribly average on their best day they can’t play “okay” and lose because every pt counts. I’d rather them trade away as much as they can maybe get enough picks and maybe (I’m dreaming a bit) trade up to get home grown player Hagens to kick off the rebuild. If he’s as good as they say he is, with him and Eiserman in the wings that’s a making of a possible good first line.
Healthy New Year buddy, I admire your hopeful thinking regarding the islanders making the playoffs, it is NOT going to happen…Nothing will change until Lou is gone….Where are the owners? Where is their input? What bothers me is had we kept our first rounders in the past 5 years we may be in a different situation, like making the playoffs.. Happy New Year Gil. Yes they didn't play poorly. They played soft. 2nd goal doesn't happen if Dobson finished his check behind his net. He doesn't have to rock a guy to be effective. But he doesn't. I know he played well, but that's not enough. You have to be the best in the world for the NHL. Palmari also very on and off. It's just like you said months ago. It's a country club attitude. It's a circus. As for a new year's rez……I'm going to try not to care as much about the Islanders. I feel if I look away maybe things will improve. Or not at all.
