1. Damn Skippy Avs are terrifying. This is just the beginning. Let's go, baby. It's been a minute. Let's bring that stanley cup back home to Colorado.

  2. the avs score half their goals on empty nets, they literally can't score all game long and barely win

  3. They don't need depth at forward at all. Now healthier, they can afford 1-2 top 6 injuries at a time, that's without Landy back, who may be a middle 6 guy in a couple months. The avs forwards getting healthy made their bottom 6 elite. But they had like 3-4 of them in the top 6 at times earlier. If Landy can get back they can afford 2-3 forward injuries at a time, that's a lot of depth, and the guys falling off the roster now have some experience too.

They need depth at Defense, every single depth peice picked up has disappointed heavily so far, fairly consistently. If no one steps up, and a couple of them are old slow bruisers suited the playoffs, but if they don't come around the avs have like 5 defensemen, you want 7 at least.

  4. I'm grateful for Georgiev. Avs got a cup with him. You could see the skill in Annunen, but yeah, he was young. I wish the best for both of them. Having the Lumberyard has been amazing. Hoping for a speedy recovery for Wedgewood.

  5. As an Avs fan, I can tell you I feel completely different. Since the Cup year, the goaltending has been up and down and mostly down the last 1+ years. Every shot from anywhere on the ice made me cringe with Georgie in-net.. I'm excited about them again!

  6. I wouldn't jinx anything yet, we still get an injury every other game and gracefully swap between bullying teams and getting bullied

  7. Gabe Landeskog doing a Stone Cold Steve Austin from the ceiling for Game 1 of the playoffs would be the greatest thing I'd ever witness in my life and I'm not even an avs fan

  8. 1:00 Even as an Avs fan, I find using the version of this photo that is shopped to say 3-1 quite hilarious.

  9. Calm down we just lost a backup goalie and ha e 5 more players injured. Yeah this team has been pretty resilient tho

  10. Appreciated the Avs video. Here's my vote for more! I hate to say it, but Nichushkin's sobriety remains a factor, as it was the past two playoffs.

  11. what a weird contract, no one else would be handing out that kind of money for Blackwood. he's been a sub .900 goaltender the last 3 seasons

  12. I can’t fucking believe they unironically decided to call Blackwood blacky. Are Canadians not familiar with that being a really offensive racial slur lol?

  13. Love this team! The big guys are absolute gamers who hold everyone accountable, including themselves. Bednar proves time and time again why he's such a great coach. Goaltending has been a long-standing issue, but when the Avs last won the Cup, stellar defense managed to cover for shaky moments in net. That said, the team needs to get fully healthy and maybe add a depth piece or two—then we might just see another Cup heading back to Denver

  14. Bias because im a avs fan since 95 but i wouldnt be surprised to see them playing Edmonton in the semis again and that historically is a good sign. Correct me if im wromg but we have won every cup finals we have been in as well🎉

  15. As an Avs fan, we are more than a serious cup contender… Our inconsistent goaltending has been our biggest issue for a while, and now it’s fixed. We had more depth scoring but traded Kovalenko away.

Ivan Ivan is still providing more depth scoring right now. If we get landeskog back (big if) we will have depth scoring and we will be terrifying…

  16. Getting ready for work right now…at the Avs-Canadians game tonight. And yes Ive thought all along if we could ever get some reasonable health luck from the injury gods-we still have as much talent as anybody in the West. That's the big thing though-as soon as we start to get healthy-2 or 3 dudes usually immediately get hurt. But of our 2 Ball arena tennants-who both have the reigning MVP,& have won titles in the last few yrs-I definitely think the AVS are the much bigger threat to go to the Finals,& ive thought that all along. Or more accurately-our better hope for a deep playoff run to extend our season,& prevent me from having to find my yearly summer 2nd job as long as possible into the late spring/early summer-lol.

  17. I was sitting there on Thursday night like there’s no way these guys won the last their five games—they played like shit in that 1st Period…then I had to pick my jaw up off the floor by the end of the game! 😔😆

  18. This team man. Every time a player comes back from injury (Drouin) another one or two go down (Nuke and Wedgewood). If they were ever fully healthy (they wont be) they’d have elite depth

  19. We’re missing is the 3rd line we have is 2/3 of what the 4th line is supposed to be. Our 3rd line should be lehky/drouin, Colton and wood and our 4th should be kivi, O’Connor, and Kelly. We have a 4th line playing 3rd line

  20. After swapping out goalies, they became contenders. After knocking off the Jets the other night, they became favorites imo.
