vancouverite here. elias is the quiet guy in the room who does his talking on the ice. miller is the screamer in the dressing room and on the ice. oil and water. this has been simmering under the surface for 4 years. for whatever reason, this year it has spilled onto the ice. travis and rasmus for elias might get it done. in vancouver we just want the drama to end with one of them going.
Not popular take for sure but they need to consider swapping Michkov for Pettersson. It speeds up the rebuild. Pettersson has better size, better defense, same offense & no language barrier. This is no-brainer for me. Your top 6 players (for first two lines) for next year is: Petterson, Konecny, Farabee, Foerster, Luchanko & Tippett. You add Bonk to defense . I believe enough is coming off book for salary cap to make this happen. The only left to do then is goalie situation as Flyers has incredible depth in system.

The way to get the Canucks emotionally invested in working hard and playing well is the following. Every Canucks player with a contract that pays a million or more per year should be contractually obligated to pay $5000.00 into a social housing slush fund every time the team loses a regular season game. This will wake up the talent on the team, keep them focused, and provide an opportunity for some healthy public relations (i.e. giving back to the community).

Your proposals from the Flyers and the Sabres are both prpbably going to be a "no" from the Canucks. No slight against Konecny or Cozens, the first is a winger (canucks don't need a winger) and the second is a 2nd line C in Buffalo and is no longer a C on their team. The idea of either of these players "and some stuff" isn't going to get a 1st line C.
(The Eichel trade was an exception because Eichel was traded for "as is" with (then) pending risky neck surgery)
If a trade is going to happen, and I don't think the Canucks need to make a trade involving either Pettersson or Miller, it will be for a position they need filled like a top pairing RHD, and if either Petterson or Miller are moved, a bonfide top 1C

The Flyers have nobody to trade to Vancouver for enough Value for either person. Maybe if you give out a few first rounders to beef up the trade then yes, but I think Philadelphia is revuilding so that makes no sense either.
What a soap opera, you simply don't have anyone to trade for. As long as they don't kill each other who cares. They are not playing well this year the soap opera is another story really.
