Calvin Pickard a réalisé 15 arrêts. Happy about the win. Couldn’t participate in any streams, but thanks for being steady Eddie with the post game recaps Austin! I always appreciate listening to your breakdowns!

  2. So we tied with L A , the team played well but we still need another d-man that's solid at home dman if it fits our budget..

  3. A couple things on the topic of the McDavid rut:
    1. He seemed to be using a new stick tonight, going back to the SuperTacks line that he used earlier in his career instead of the JetSpeed that he’s used for the past few seasons. I would imagine this change was made in attempt to help get out of that rut.
    2. I saw a screenshot of a Jack Michaels tweet reporting on an interesting stat that this was “the first time in Connor McDavid’s career that the Oilers have won two games in a row without a point from 97.”

  4. I feel like the Oil is are playing in 3rd gear. Still racking up wins, but struggling to bury teams they are outplaying. The team as it is constituted might only have a 4th gear. A trade or two. A healthy Kane return & They’ll be set for a cup run!

  5. Game 39. Long post follows with base game statistics including some for the Seattle Kraken. Read, don't read, up to you. These are BASE stats not detailed ones. My comments and observations at the end.

Still feeling awful and still waiting on eye surgery so personal comments will be limited.

From the stats: Oilers really outshot Seattle (32 to 17), Seattle really hit a lot more than the Oilers (23 to 7). Oilers were better on faceoffs (33 to 25). Neither side scored on the PP so both PK's at 100% (Oilers had one chance, Seattle 2 on the PP). Oilers had slightly more giveaways and blocked shots and one less Takeaway.

Podkolzin scored. Nuge scored again. At one point it was 3-0 Oilers. Pickard didn't get a lot of work.

Unfortunately both LA and Vegas won their games so we just keep pace.

    Take care all

  6. Pods is my new favourite Oiler. Every shift, you can tell he's hustling. Love that guy.
