Oilers need 2-3 things at the deadline.
1. Youth, preferably at the 3/4 C in this current lineup but someone that can hopefully move up to top6 W (miss you Holloway)
2. Top 4 Dman, Right hand shot. PK and puck mover, literally taller Stecher. They need instant chemistry with Nurse.
3. A backup/3rd string playoff goalie just in case. Not saying our goaltending needs help, just saying I’d like a 3rd goalie incase either get injured, because I don’t wanna throw either AHL goalie in the net in the playoffs if bad stuff happen
I like Cam Talbot for insurance. Ex oiler to boot. Need toughness and size for RS defense and toughness in bottom 6.
Size and grit…..What I remember from final round last season was….Draisaitl and McD could barely skate, they were so black and blue from the other teams pounding on them with zero blow back. In the immortal words of Biznasty! The Oilers are softer than microwaved puppy shit!

Expanding playoff rosters for Depth forwards and youth look no further than Bakersfield Noah Philip and Matt Savoie. Backend need to upgrade Size and Strength David Savard. Once Montreal stops punching way above their weight class this is the best Right Shot UFA Dman that shouldn’t cost a 1st round pick maybe maybe a 2nd and 3rd. I also like the idea of a third goalie for insurance

I just don’t see any sense in acquiring a forward when they can run this come playoffs:
