Good news for louzer. Isles have the top player on tdl list. The bad news is i wouldn't trust louzer to manuever this tdl properly. Isles have 3 on tsn tdl list. 29 at one, 21 at 13, and 44 at 16.
The good news is isles could come out of this tdl with much needed future assets. The bad news is louzer has 21, 29 declining in production and may have already waited too long to maximize their value. Should have done that in off-season. And who would trust louzer? Word is louzer could have moved 44 at tdl last season for a first and refused the deal. Could see louzer trade 29 for more bottom 6 garbage, keep 21 looking to re-sign him, and do nothing with 44. Doubtful 8 gets moved. 3 should be shopped by tdl, 24 as well yet have too much term left. 40 if healthy too. Mild/guerin still have 29 interest.
btw rip dwight foster. The kitchener ranger all team leading scorer was looked at as a d c in '77 draft. bow tie debated between foster and pure sniper 22 at 15 in that draft. Al said you can teach a player to play d, not to score goals. Bow tie took 22. Foster went next pick to b's.
We need petey
Trade Dobson , Brock ( uFa) eiserman, and 2nd
We need DEFENSE!!!!!!
LET THE DISMANTLING BEGIN. Word is louzer's starting price for 29,21 is a first. A first for two dwindling assets? Start the bidding…
Doesn’t matter, we cannot watch them on cable.
Gil this is going to be a tough sell regarding Nelson, the Islanders will have to eat some of the contract for a trade. As an owner this is not what I want to hear. Eating a contract. That alone should get Lou released. I said this in November, time to trade all the players 30 and over., and now it very well may happen. Maybe have some spending money for a free agent like Mikko Rantanen and bring up Jefferies, Finley,, Dufour and Maggio come September. Also trade Ciz and do not re-sign Martin. Get trade picks for Nelson, Lee, Palm amd JG.
Gil my question for you is this; why does everything have to point to Lou Lamarello? Why him?
Hey Gil, where do we even watch games now? Did they remove from cable for good? You could make a video on what a pain in the a** it is to figure out which channels their playing on each game if it’s even on cable or not that day. Not to mention if your in your car listening sometimes it’s on the radio sometimes not. It’s so frustrating just to watch or listen let alone delve into the team issues
Good 🌄, Gil, how are you? Brock Nelson and Kyle Palmieri are on expiring contracts, and to add insult to injury, they're slumping. Nelson's exploring free agency. Palmieri is from Smithtown, which means he's under a lot of pressure to perform in front of the home folks. Will Lou Lamoriello set this in motion, WE WILL 👀. Keep Anders Lee, and maybe keep JG PAGEOU, maybe, especially with the Duke and Barzy back in the lineup. I'd love to see them out of the muddy middle. Hudson Fashing's day-to-day , and he won't be going with the team to Vegas an UT, and neither is Isiah George is long term. Mike Reilly is long-term, and Simon Holmstrom is day to day. Dennis Chulowski has a step to up and prove to Patrick Roy what he can do. Bridgeport is not doing that great. HAPPY 🎂, BRENT SOPEL. I'm happy he retired with a Stanley Cup. He had 2 assists in a win against those dreaded Rangers. Hear from you later, Gil, no nostalgia this time, a thought if Jaromir Jagr is still playing, the Islanders should try and land him lol. Now, LET'S GO, ISLANDERS.
Anyone claiming to know anything about what Lou and the Islanders are up to is a liar. The Islanders are tighter lipped than any organization in the world. They have a very hard working team and should be commended for that. But they have zero finish! Zero. They outplay team after team and lose. Because no one scores when they need it.
Lee. You need to eat part of contract. Same with others. These are all great guys but they’re all heading into the sunset. Other teams would grab a lot of them to bolster a playoff run. If he leaves this group together a collapse is imminent
Good morning team! Gil, I guess struggling players is something that will always be around, and it goes from player to player. Too bad there isn't a vaccine for the scoring drought, haha. We know lots of changes are in store for the team. It's about time. On another note, I would love to see the team put up a good game against Vegas tomorrow night. I don't remember the last time we actually beat them, and I'm not too confident about this game either. Just looking for a good showing, and maybe a few lucky bounces of the puck. Everyone, have a great day today, and stay safe. See you all again tomorrow. Until then.. Let's Go Islanders!!
Morning Gil, I was the Jan 5th game. Oh boy, they were not mentally there. They played “good” hockey for the first 10 mins of the second period but before and after, just horrendous. I was telling my buddy who was working in the penalty box, they’re just not discipline.
Gm Gil. The smart move would be to do nothing until Lou is gone. This team is terrible and its time to accept their fate and ride this out.
It would be sad to break up the boys but change is a fact of life. Coach Roy deserves to go get the horses he wants. Gil do you have any opportunity to interview the owners and find out when Lou can be replaced by a younger human? We need a culture change and a new identity and I think a new GM would be a breath of fresh air. It’s like our politicians why can’t Lou pass the torch can we implement term limits? Ha
Comment on the money. Minor league is depleted. The prospects are coming. Pretty solid after their performances in the WJC. But it’s time to move on. New blood is sorely needed.
Get whatever you can for these guys and move on I'd rather see some kids called up they can't do any worse
Who's the #1draft prospect?
Will be keeping an eye on the Nucks! Doing some scouting tonight in DC! Nucks Vs Caps … should be a good one
