just look at some of the players Sweeney bypassed in draft..Kyle Conner,Mathew Barzal et al . Then throw in Cams asinine comments during offseason negotiations. Nuff said.

They are too slow to beat the Top 10 teams. For the last 4yrs they needed to get younger and faster. They still need another 30 goal scorer. Sweeney keeps signing old slow players like Lindholm and Zadorov to 4 yr contracts, crippling the offense and eating up Cap space. All they can do now is move the young fast players like Kastelic, Koepke and Geekie up to the 1st and 2nd lines with Pasta and Marchand. Sacco's 1st 10 games were against the worst teams in the NHL. He hasn't beaten 1 good team.
Getting excited over Freddie’s fighting is such a low brow caveman take. It didn’t do anything to change the game. Besides, it was obviously a staged fight. Nobody really cares in those instances

This is the white elephant in the room. When they had better players, they played better. Of their wins this season so far, only 3 of them have been against teams that are playoff bound at this time; 3!!
They will play this out for the rest of the year and all get paid. Then they will play it off…no season is perfect (as we have already heard). You'll be having the same conversations next year at this time with those same big contracts/players pulling the same shite. How many of them will come back from the summer in better shape; with a better shot; new moves; etc? Insanity. I don't support them and I don't owe them a thing. Plenty of great hockey on elsewhere.
