Ain’t no way Rantanen is coming to MTL
I would trade Slafkovsky with a prospect maybe Mailloux or Reinbacher for Rantanen. Seem like a reasonable trade for me.
Pointless video rantanen is going nowhere.
If the Habs want Rantanen, trade talks starts with either Demidov or Hutson. I don't see the Avs accepting a trade without the Habs trading one of these 2.
Wont happen
Rantanen will be like Guentzel last year… he'll be moved for king's ransom at the deadline, and explore the market. He'll be a Ranger in July.
Jake Evans, Josh Anderson, and Roy for Rantanen. Done deal. Money would work out close.
No thanks.. MTL not trading for him, getting him as free agent, sure.. but giving young players for a 28 yo, nope. If Colorado wants Gallagher, Anderson, Dvorak and Armia.. yep.. but thats definitely not something that makes sense, not even in a video game trade 😂.
It seems unthinkable , but if you get two blue chip prospects in return …. do it ! Rantanen's value is inflated because of Mckinnon
Rantanen to the Red Wings
So you follow guys like graviteh and your not inspired to offer better content ? Thats crazy , another video another thumbs down
No way Montreal is giving up Demidov or Hutson and Cole and Nick. People, please be reasonable
Once again silly trade talks, Montreal always have to give 3 to 4 pieces going back for 1 player. Common on be more creative then that. Thanks Kevin
TBH, I think people didn't talk enough about… The Anaheim Ducks. That weird contract they did with deferred payment 10 years out just dodged a whole lot of the cap. If the league says that's ok, then we're just playing by a whole different set of rules, and the teams that can spend the most are gonna get the stars… Though the Avs have cap problems, if Rantanen is cool with doing some deferred pay and having a comfy retirement, I think Colorado would pay it. I know accounting isn't as exciting as trade speculation, but that deal really could change the way the cap works, the same way the LTIR changed how teams deal with cap issues going into the playoffs.
It's a really interesting play by the Avs, and a reality that I don't think would happen if they failed to win the Cup in 2022. But either way, if you are a contender, and making a play for Rantanen increases your odds at great lengths of winning it all, it makes more sense to wait until July. For most teams, it makes sense to wait. But what if you know that Rantanen isn't signing with you in July and he is willing to help you before then? If this is your best shot to win, go for it. You get a superstar player mid-season that most teams would kill for. There is always one team that would be willing to make an unlikely trade. However, if the Avs move a player of this caliber, it's probably to an Eastern Conference team. And we all know how crowded that race for playoff spots has become.
no no no
Habs aren’t giving up Caufield or anyone of significance when they can just pay him the 16 mil or whatever he wants as a free agent without losing any player or picks of significance. And the Canucks aren’t dealing a superstar player who is locked in to a long term contract for a rental when they might not even make the playoffs. Habs have a legit shot at him but the Canucks not a chance.
If Mikko hits free agency, cap going up next year and guess who's 11M contract also up loll Bye bye Tavares and hello Mikko with the Leafs lol Let me dream guys
Probably he gets traded at the deadline as an expensive rental and signs a ridiculously large contract as a free agent, welcome to the salary cap that never went away, it just went up a bit to make up for the years it didn't.
Habs have so much in their pipeline. Our youngsters will need room to break out.
Rants isn't going anywhere. Him and mack are inseparable.
Is ep40 a 1c? His production since signing that massive deal , says no
No chance. Don't get your hopes up folks. Mikko is going no where
Colorado has 20$ million in CAP space. There is no chance Colorado isn't resigning Rantanen. The Leafs have 23$ million in space and are going to resign Tavares, Marner and Knies. He doesn't fit under montreals cap now.
Montreal has 20$ million in space next year but 10 million of it is Price.
Montreal has nothing they can trade for Rantanen and then they would have to sign him. It's ridiculous.
Gallagher??????????
to get rantannen they'd have to send slafkovsky, in a package
I came here to dislike this post and I believe The Hockey Guy is > Leggorocks99.
You really are milking the rumors that will never happen… Oh wells!
chicago will make mikko the highest paid player in the nhl if he hits ufa.
