Awkward positioning of maltby caused much of the damage on that hit… It wasn't a dirty hit in imo. But I still applaud kocur for coming to the defense of a teammate. In today's NHL it's every man for himself on account of Bettman turning the league into a bunch of snowflakes.
The NHL just isn't as entertaining as it once was. It's a bummer because I really enjoyed following the league. So many heroes and villains. There always seemed to be a beef or some storyline to follow along with great hockey. Now it's just great hockey with no extras. That's fine for the playoffs or Olympic games but I'm gonna need a reason to watch a regular season game in February. Now it's just…..yawn.
The Detroit Reg Wing announcers. STILL to this day, the most unbiased and fair and professional hockey announcing team. Not the LEAST bit what one would call "homers". At ALL.
Great clean hit by King then the Goon goes after the player who played by the rules. I guess hitting is not allowed unless you have to fight the other teams heavy weight fighter who can barely skate.
