This is before watching this but after watching the post game comments with MacLellan. I liked how he was talking about adding new things for the players to think about to add to their games. One of the things I noticed quickly was the D doing bank shots off the boards near the blue line if they didn’t have a play. This was successful in getting the puck out of the zone and to at least center ice. It caused many less icings and seemed more purposeful in execution. Don’t see that play from them much anymore as they seem to get better senses of timing and positioning of everyone. Very evident part of the game that I noticed was better break outs or just clearing the zone with more control and less panic. Might have been just a message that opened eyes to that other option instead of flinging it to the other end. Don’t know what the previous messaging was, but I am happy to see players not act like the puck was a grenade out there coming out of the D zone.
Ready for the listen. Just an observation that really stuck out to me in the first couple of games. Seemed like a tool was given to the D because they all seemed to use it at one time or another. Allows the skater receiving the attempted pass some time to adjust their speed sometimes too to receive the pass.
Kane larks and Raymond all looked good but yeah Kane def kinda took the weekend off
Also can’t say that Larkin raymod kasper hasn’t been starting to look good if he can keep growing then we really do have a second another legit top 6 player and it was we needed one of the things

Keep the foot on the throttle. Don't get comfortable with the Sharks, they'll make you pay. Then, South Florida. That will be the litmus test. If we can handle the Panthers, we can make the playoffs.
Florida, Tampa, Dallas coming up. That'll be a real test, looking forward to it.
Kane, Raymond, and Cat are the hottest players in the NHL right now. I loved the way we cycled the puck today, and we limited high danger chances. Kasper, Gus, and Johansson all got on the board as well. Great win and 7 straight baby. Go Wings.
I can’t help but get more and more irritated at Lalonde after this 7th win. What a failure of a coach. Never took accountability, never an insightful post game, and never adjusted the style of hockey, to try and get a different result. Just a trash coach. It’s not personal, it’s just true.
The sheer number of guys on this team that look completely different under McClellan is amazing. Kane, kasper, veleno, Gus, AJo, Holl. It’s no longer 5 skaters and a strong goalie trying to drag this team to wins, it’s every player from top to bottom and it’s fun to watch.

Raymond is tied for 2nd place in the NHL with 22 Powerplay points behind Kucherov (24) and tied with Marner/J.Hughes.
Larkin is tied for 2nd most Powerplay goals in NHL at 10 behind Point(12ppg).
Are we giving credit to yezermen or Todd here? Still not sure if they can make the playoffs which really is a shame. Can't be a good team and not making the playoffs. It's a tight league so missing the playoffs just means your not good enough.

First off – Kane is a god & Lalonde belongs in jail.
So happy for Kane for having fun again and finding his game.
Raymond ? On his way to a career high in points and thanks again for the pass to Larkin empty net. Since then he's been playing like before and like a captain. ADB gets too little credit for his play overall in my opinion.
Also something about Seider of course.
Reverse hit ? On his way to 50+ points? Again, all I can say is – Lalonde belongs in jail for the things he's done in his time.
Seider is on his way to being the first player with back to back seasons of 200+ hits/blocks. Or rather, he's the first player ever in NHL history to have two 200+ seasons. 24 years old when the season is over.
Raymond and Seider are the best thing to happen to the team in recent years. If this team wins 1-2 Cups, both will be Detroit legends just for the records they already have and both should play at least another 10-15 years.

I'm not worried about win streaks or playoff spots. I am just so happy to enjoy watching the Wings play. They look good, as good as they do on paper. It's great to actually look forward to the next game and being proud of my team! If they keep this confidence on the ice, the wins will keep coming. The guys are playing great hockey and getting better and more confident with each game. That's what I'm excited about! Keep at it boys!!!
Most fans wanted Yzerman's buddy(mistake) gone three years ago. His crazy trades and Lalonde hanging on was the biggest joke in the NHL.
The only comparison to the Wings would be the Tigers. Both teams went to hell when "Mr. I" passed away.
