That probably does it for the season for the Pens for all intents and purposes as Mike Lang would say. Out of the playoff picture, tems ahead of them have 3 games in hand, starting a 7 game road trip. The only drama for this group is to see how high up the all time points list Sid can climb before he hangs them up.
Let's say 30 more points this season for Sid. If he has the appetite and stamina to play 3 more seasons, averages 60 points per season, he passes Mark Messier and sits 3rd all time. Doable for sure. It's all we have to look forward to in the short term.
