Ovechkin has such a brilliant resiliency to age and healthy endurance. He endeavors ever onward and may well pass 900 goals in due time, rather quite generously.

he lead the league in goal scoring before he got injured this year. too bad he was out for weeks. thats crazy to think about at his age
this is so insane. I remember so vividly the first night after the 05 lockout. first official game, he scores 2 goals. from then on hes been on fire. for ovy, not scoring 40 goals is considered a bad season. how much of a legend must you be, that not scoring every second game is bad. Ovy will be one of the biggest stars in NHL history.

Ovechkin is number 1 in the NHL.
I didn’t think I’d handle it when Gretzky retired in 99 after following his entire career. Didn’t matter that he was under a point per game and just about never scored towards the end. Only one goal in his last 20 games. I still wanted him to continue. I even more want Ovechkin to go beyond next year, but we will see. Will next season be his final tour of the league’s buildings? If the team is only getting better and they don’t win the cup these next two playoffs, then maybe he’ll sign one year deals like Jagr did his last five years.
