1. Completely correct. Only thing is that instead of always trying to have the big guy on the 4th line I wish they would've focused instead of getting more prospects to step up. Always seemed like they were trying to chase getting someone past his prime but with another year in the tank. Definitely agree, we should've kept Heinen. Getting him back last year was a great move and we should've looked to extend. A few years back, that Coyle + Mojo + Heinen carried the B's through a lot of tough games.

I've always felt that we've really lacked a true top pair D since Chara left. I know he was slow and wasn't as imposing the last year of play but it's hard to say the defense really has caught back up to where it was with him. So much experience and leadership. And the D is the anchor for the breakout, the PK, the PP, etc. The boys play like they don't trust the D and frankly it's hard to blame them. The D looks lost so often. So you can get the guys jumping the exit for a breakaway (not that Pasta ever seems to score on those). You can't have a good breakout if you're always worried about having to jump back into the zone. You can't fight for pucks in the corner if you can't trust the D to cover the slot. You can't shoot on PP if you can't trust the D to cover you if it goes back the other way….

  2. The only thing I'd disagree on is that I think the coach is responsible for getting the guys to work together. Too often they look like a pickup team.

  3. Simple you have team full midv level talent .Bruins don't even have a solid number 1 line how pathetic is that .Don an cam need to go love cam favorite bruin but he an don suck you can fire coach you still have no talent pathetic

  4. It seems like everybody's a step behind each other or a 1/2. Step the timing. Continuity, it's not that the togetherness. It's like there's no connections. The passen's just not crisp. Sometimes it is and sometimes it is. So sometimes they come up and play a great PERIOD of hockey. And then they come out and play s*** period hockey. There's no consistency of play

  5. You’re right it’s a bunch of things that’s wrong with this team. They’re not fast. This makes them vulnerable to fast paced players/games/teams. I don’t think they have a chance to make the playoffs. But the players will get paid whether they win or lose ….no sweat 😓 there.

  6. I'd like to see Neely gone if there's going to be a management shake up. Sweeney gets blamed for Neely decisions.

  7. What is wrong? Soft, slow, lazy and unmotivated. Soft coach equals a soft team . On top of that upper Managment built a huge slow slug of a team that doesn't seem to really care about winning. MacAvoy, Pasta and Swayman squeezing every dollar they could get out of the team has destroyed the Bruins former great culture as well.

  8. My gut says a couching change might be in order. The team play is sloppy, passes and break outs are terrible. Bruins hockey was always dump and chase, cycle the puck along the boards. That's how big heavy teams play to wear you down. They seam to be playing a possession game which caters to teams with skill and speed.

I think this year is more of an indication of the coaches style. His first year he was along for the ride, then a bad decision to play an injured goalie in the playoffs (when your 1B on the bench was just as good) spelled the end of the season. Last year the team had drive to prove everyone wrong. This year, theres no drive and they seam to be lost, and I don't see the hard nose in your face style. I don't think JM is a bad coach, just not a Bruins coach. A coaching change to go back to a style along the boards could spark this roster. And another true top 6 C is in order, but those are hard to obtain.

  9. Not enough leadership , pastrnak and MacAvoy do not deserve A’s. Pastrnak is a turnover machine , way too soft on the puck, teams know he’s a one trick pony and bully him off the puck , bench him. Way too many penalties too and not enough hunger from any of them

  10. monty sucks. he has to go for a hundred reasons. he doesn't have the player development skills. he doesn't run a bench or a game on the fly. he doesn't motivate his players, and he looks like he'd take a punch in the face every time if he was a player. other teams are actually laughing at the bruins right now during games. i have only seen that several times in almost 60 years of watching the NHL and it is the telltale sign of a team that doesn't care and is going down fast. they are a freak show of passive, one dimensional skill. no fight, no pride, no plans. no thanks.

  11. You are wrong about Sweeney and drafting, Sweeney sucks and you proved it. All the teams you compare the Bruins to are Stanley Cup contenders, the Bruins are not, so of course the Bruins have more prospects on the team. The Bruins are -17 in Team +-, -17! This is Sweeney’s Team! San Jose (-22), Nashville (-17), Pittsburgh (-25) and Montreal (-20).

  12. I think is karma and repercussion for firing Bruce Cassidy because that one dude (I forgot who the player was) said he was being “too harsh on him”

  13. The Debrusk draft was dreadful. We had 3 picks in a row. Could have picked Barzal, Connor and Chabot, instead took Debrusk, who they could really use now, and 2 stiffs. Speaking of Debrusk. Besides Pastrnak, he was pretty much the only other forward who had a scoring shot. Everyone else on the team is garbage goal players. Debrusk was also turning into one of their best penalty killers as well. I love Marchand, but he's getting up there and he just can't seem to do what he used to do. McAvoy has been a disappointment. He should be the best defenseman on this team but this year Lindholm has been outplaying him by far. I thought the D was gonna be a strength for this team, along with the goaltending. Neither has been up to par and that falls on the forwards too. They all look lost out there. The team looks lethargic most of the time. I suppose that falls on the coach. Someone has to fall on the sword and the coach is the most likely. They have to do something to shake it up. Also, a lot of their players are playing out of where they should be playing. They lack a #1 center. It sucks that we have a sniper like Pastrnak who has no legit #1 center to play with. Ovechkin had Backstrom. Hull had Oates. Pastrnak needs a guy like that cuz too often when he controls the puck he's too loose with it. They just need him to be set up and firing shots on goal. Lindholm is more suited to be a line 2 center. Coyle is a 3rd line center. Zacha is at best a line 2 player. Marchand shouldn't be a line 1 player anymore. Geekie, Kastelic, Koepke, Frederic, Beecher.. all these guys are basically the same player. Nothing more than 3rd or 4th line players. This team just lacks talent. They need a major shakeup, starting with the coach. Then possibly thinking about moving McAvoy in a major trade.

  14. here's another one for ya.drafting Frederick over debrincat, drafting vakaneinen over Robertson and drafting Beecher over kaliyev, and let's not forget the disastrous 2015 draft-3 no. 1 picks and all busts!

  15. I just don’t see them skating and digging. Hard to watch. Penalties are just highly undisciplined and it needs to stop given the PK is dismal. I don’t know where to start but it should have something to do with discipline and effort.

  16. It's 4 years that every "expert" has been putting them out of the playoffs……..
So I guess even a broken clock is right 2 times a day. It's hockey, and it's parity, so what was the question?

  17. Sorry but as a bruins fan, they just aren't that good. The team looks OK on paper but they don't gel. Their strength was the goalie tandem and that's gone.

  18. Their lazy and just don't seem to care Pasta said he wants to win a cup this year well so far he ain't proving that he wants to win it going to suck if he never wins one in his career.

  19. The Bruins offense is terrible right now. All over the place. Inconsistent. They need a first line center with size that can score and Coyle is not the answer.

  20. I told u swayman is trash but this falls on don depleted our prospect pool for rentals he's an awful GM sir. I told u swayman was going be Blaine laucher 2.0 this year! Bruins always be my favorite team but there playing horrible

  21. Let me answer your question with another question: What is NOT wrong with the Boston Bruins? It's a much shorter list. At the moment, there is absolutely nothing to be optimistic about, and vast changes are needed, on and off the ice, and top to bottom.

  22. how about starting out with 2 new goalies , normal , good basics, keep your team in the game, steale one , when ever, BUT WHO THEY HAVE RIGHT NOW, IS A FKN JOKE.. a choke, when it matters..

  23. THE BRUINS SHOULD HAVE KEPT CASSIDY HE WOULD HAVE GOT RID OF ALL THAT BAD BLOOD THAT IS STILL ON 150

  24. I can’t complain too much, I’ve been wanted the Bruins to get tougher for years. They did that but the also got incredibly undisciplined. This team also has any carrying enough top 6 talent to make up for the bottom 6. I would’ve never given Swayman the deal he got. Too small a sample. He certainly hasn’t played like a top 5-10 goalie but he’s being paid like one.

  25. They are realizing how important Bergeron was as a leader, face off guy and defensive skill.
