Understand the frustration, and totally agree there needs to be change while there is still time. It's not lost on me that they mailed it in early last year getting Allen late, with no Marky, and you don't want to see Fitz do it again. But I am not going to lose faith in this group. Since you're relactant to trade Mercer for O'Reilly I suggest another trade. Kovacevic+Tatar to even out cap hit a bit for O'Reilly. And don't tell me Kovacevic isn't for a trade. He is very tradable. And right O'Reilly type of a player is much more valuable to the Devils than Kovacevic. You want to make changes but don't want to give away valuable piece. That doesn't work like that my friend
I still think the Devils will make the playoffs. However, they are currently playing a bad brand of hockey. Markstrom and Allen are not the issue. Back to back games, 1 goal….smh. it's not like the Devils were playing the Knights or Panthers. The lines need to be adjusted.
