He does not deserve to "break" any record. He needs to retire right now. Since everyone seems to dislike anything russian right now why celebrate a guy who has not had to work very hard to get 90% of his goals. Hey just stand here we will feed you the puck and after the first 70 times or so goailies have not figured it out you are shooting. Really
The NHL has been rigged to have goal scoring go up for 20 years now…and would you look at that, how long has #8 been in the league 🤔 hmmmm…not impressed.
Right now Ovechkin is still suffering from the leg and the top line/PP are suffering. It’s a testament to the team they’re still winning, but they have to get back to it sooner rather than later. You cannot go into the postseason with these possession and shot differentials.
They can win every way you need to in order to do damage in the playoffs, but you need your top line going, I’m betting it fixed itself and Ovi gets that gear back like he has to start the year.
THE COACH. I am here in Toronto and Carbury was hired as an Assistant. We kept hearing that he is the next great coach prospect. He brought Hersey to greatness. When they fired their coach what do you know they came calling for Carbury and now he is reviving the team. Coach of the Year in my books.

It's nice to see stretch passes being used effectively in Washington. I still have PTSD from Reirdens system of constantly forcing stretch passes that cost us 2 years of a cup window.
They seem to be a TEAM. Not just a group of players. Absolutely brilliant additions, and Ovi. I’m a Habs fan, but I’m cheering for these guys, they are also fun to watch.
Watching these defensive trap breakdowns makes me realize why hockey is so much more fun to watch than basketball, where there’s ZERO defence and players just shoot threes all game.

As a Caps fan, last season I really really really REALLY didn't want them to make the playoffs and we saw how that turned out. This season has been crazy. Alexi Protas coming into his own, Ethan Frank breaking into the NHL, Chychrun being crazy good, LT being crazy good, McMichael turning up the heat, and OV chasing that goal record even with the fracture to the leg. Crazy.

I love your content, but how did you manage to contradict yourself 15 seconds into the video? You say the Caps were the first team to ever make the playoffs with a -37 goal differential but the tweet on screen says otherwise.
If Caps won, 1 more cup, they could easily be called a Dynasty Franchise.
2019, I met McMichael in Owen Sound after a Knights vs Attack game. I told him he's going to kill it in the NHL, and I can't wait to see him playing with Ovechkin. Sure seemed like a long shot comment at that point, but I'm happy to see it happening now in the 24-25 season.
