I'm tired of seeing sleepy foggy Mika Zzzzombiebad and can't wait to see him traded, as well as Kreider, Miller, Lindgren, Vesey. Mika and Kreider are not worth breaking the cap for. If the Rangers make the Playoffs they will be out in the first round. The expectations for this group are not to just make the Playoffs Mika has been playing poorly for 2 Playoffs and 2 seasons now. Time to trade him and Kreider. These are not the Stars the Rangers are going to win with. Lafreniere should also be traded while he''s still worth a return, or the Rangers will get nothing back when they trade him in 2 years when they finally admit he's a bust like Kakko.

Disagree about Lafreniere but agree with the big picture: what is the 3 year plan? What happens when Panarin's contract is up? Schneider is solid but replaceable. How would the coach utilize him? What center becomes a winger or does Miller become a winger?

Rangers are not interested in making the playoffs so now would be the time to assess other potential players worth the interest of the team yes we know teams headed to the playoffs are not going to give a hint as to who will be eligible. The team in general cannot continue depending on Igor they need to give him a cushion to play his own game there is still too many mistakes by the defense with inconsistency and finally why players focused on the puck on one side and leaving the opposing teams player free on the other side unprotected .
Kakko’s production with Seattle should be a warning sign when it comes to giving up on youth. Rangers are just a miserable franchise that can’t play physical or defense.

Whether the Rangers are buyers or sellers at the trade deadline will be seriously affected by the results of the California trip and the next 5 games starting with Carolina and Montreal .
The key to the Rangers season is the play of Zibanejad …. Going down the stretch .
I expect the Rangers to trade at least one defenseman and two forwards , players on the last year of their contracts who can return …. I expect them bring up Berard , Othmann and Mancini post trade deadline and play them on regular lines til the end of the season .
I also think Drury could trade a veterans with Modified no trade contracts ( Kreider ) if they don’t perform well ( win ) before the trade deadline .
I would be surprised if the Rangers trade a signed “younger player “ , if the return brings in a quality veteran player
I would not be opposed to move Zibanejad, if there was a trade for JT Miller … both might perform better with a change of scenery … ?
I want them to be sellers this year no matter what. This season is a unique opportunity to set themselves up for success over the next 5 years or so.
If the rumors are true, that the Rangers were willing to give Schneider or Alexis Laffrienere to Vancouver for Miller than Drury should be FIRED IMMEDIATELY. There is no way, I would give Vancouver a former #1 pic who is still extremely young or Braden Schneider who should be a top 6 defenseman for a 32 year old Miller who has had locker room issues and has a temper. No way, Drury should stay far clear if Vancouver is demanding either Laffy or Schneider. In addition , what benefit would this be for the Rangers. We all know that this core is not good enough to win it all, they have 3 or 4 chances and not been able to get it done. Does anyone really believe that Miller is going to take this team from borderline playoff team to winning the Stanley Cup?? This is not the move and Drury should be fired on the spot if he accepts that Deal. It would be honestly a big steal for Vancouver.
I agree with Larry about the Rangers being Sellers at the deadline. Every Ranger fan should be honest with themselves and ask the question, do we see the Rangers winning the Stanley Cup with this Core Group? My answer is No. Being sellers at the deadline will allow the Rangers to recoup draft picks and build up the cupboard. I like Will Borgen, I think he is way better then K Andre Miller and even though K Andre is younger, I think this is the best we are going to get from him. If you could get a 1st rd pick for Miller, I would jump on it. I think a 3rd for Lindgren, but a 2nd would be amazing. Probably a 3rd for Reily Smith, Jones is also going to be gone, who know what he is worth. Bring up Otthman , Berard and let's see what they can do. But being buyers just because they put up a week stretch is typical Rangers. Don't get fooled, if this team somehow got into the playoffs. I don't see them getting out of the 1st rd. The main goal is the Stanely Cup. This Core has there chances and could not get it done. Time for change, in my opinion.

Mika‘s one timer from last year is not as potent this year. Put the puck on net and go from there. They need to get rid of Keandre Miller, not sure if JT Miller is the answer, but let’s keep our options open.
Thank God Larry Brooks is not the GM of the rangers. I usually respect what Larry says but trading either Schneider or LaFreniere for JT Miller is beyond idiotic. JT is close to 32 is being paid a lot of money and wants to get traded only to New York. We the rangers have all The leverage. Don't give up two potential 23-year-old Stars for a 32-year-old with a long contract getting paid a lot of money that's Insanity. If they want to do JT for Mika or JT for Fil, That's another story. Under no circumstances do we give up Schneider or LaFreniere

Schneider has not been very good. I have no problem giving Vancouver a 3rd pair D who is overrated.
Carrick is my favorite Ranger this year no doubt. He's consistent too. He will be great in the Playoffs.
