1. i disagree.Anything can happen if you get into the dance. Guys like barzal horvat nelson palmieri and then also the bottom 6 guys like holstrom tsyplakov can score The D is solid. Goaltending is elite with BOTH sorokin and hog. I think holstrom and tsyplakov can be legit 2nd or even potentially 1st liners i have seen flashes of brilliance from both. They have won 4 in a row and last year late went on a incredible run. This has serious talent. I do think at the end of this season you flip nelson and palmieri and get younger legit talent/ draft picks

  2. It doesn't seem that it's desperation. They've been playing a lot better and they want to keep it going. Probably not a good move for the future, meaning, they are sacrificing draft position.

  3. Injuries kicking isles ass this season. Maybe that is a good thing. Pathetic louzer has no recourse or faith in ahl b'port for re-inforcements. And skarek sucks at b'port. Just another ahl toiler. Just shows how isles have no plan, no depth, no hope, and just reaching now. Perunovich was listed as 6th d man on blows depth chart coming into the season before fowler trade so don't expect much. Maybe louzer should hope for that top 5 pick and a shot at m. schafer the best d prospect in draft. And before louzer loses 29 for nothing maybe he should move 29 to jets for their red hot prospect c.barlow, a guy louzer could have taken had he kept isles '23 first.

-Quarter century first team-F, 29, pj judas, 27. D, k. jonsson (solidly smooth d man who should have had a longer isle career. thanks t green, roberts), streit (2nd isle d man to lead (a bad) isles team in scoring). G, 30.
-Second team-F, okposo, 13, frans (the shoot out specialist). D, leddy, pelech. G, both 40's halak.
-Hon. mention-bailey, boychuck, 53, 6, 8, 24, beau, eberle. yes yashin, blake, m. czerkowski, aucoin, hamrlik, pk specialist/speedster grabner, and peca who was a darn good fast two way c/captain who should have had a longer isle career as well (thanks fkn d. tucker and laffs). and don't forget osgood who solidified the crease for a few years until dipietro was ready.
jonsson, hamrlik, aucoin, along with niinimaa was a pretty good d group for those '02-'04 playoff teams.
-Just kidding team-dal colle, bellows, wahlstrom, 18, ho sang, chef bruno.
-And what about coach? Obviously its trotz. Hon. mention to teddy nolan who somehow got a patched together with f a's snow '06-'07 team into the playoffs on last day and winning last four to get 8th spot.

  4. Good 🌄, Gil, how are you? The Islanders acquired Scott Perunovich for a 5th round draft choice in 2026, but this is a good trade? He's got the skills, but he's small and never underestimate the small players. Not enough ice time. He may be a big help on the PP. I hope The pick they gave up doesn't come back to haunt them next year. Ryan Pollack is out for a long period of ⏲️, and so is Marcus Hochberg. Will Brock Nelson and Kyle Palmieri still be considered trade bait? That remains to be seen. If they're going to make the playoffs, THEY NEED TO START HOPPING. The Quarter Century Team was announced, and they left out Kyle Oposo, and Rick DiPietro should be there, too. You're right, Gil, even though the way John Tavares left the Islanders was unforgivable, he did lead them to a series win. They play CO to close out the homestand. They're not same team the Islanders beat down in Denver at the beginning of the year. There is some tension though. The Avalanche have been giving the Islanders fits ever since Patrick Roy was their goalie. HAPPY 🎂, ARNIE BROWN, 1942-2019. He was an original Islander, he was a -48, but then, it was 1972. Hear from you later, Gil. I'm going to finish 👀 Game 3 of the 80 Finals. Noe, LET'S GO ISLANDERS.
