    As an Edmonton fan, Is it possible? sure… Is it likely? Not a chance. The only way this becomes even a remote possibility is if Mikko says, He really, really wants to play with McDavid and is willing to take a huge pay cut to do so (unlikely since he did not agree to sign in Colorado for money).  Kane has NMC and is exactly the player the Oilers need. If he is healthy and makes an impact in the playoffs, why in the world would the Oilers even try and get rid of him. Mikko is great and any team would love to have him but more scoring is not what the Oilers need.

    Unless the bridge is completely burned down, he is way more likely to sign with Colorado for less, like he originally said he would do if his concern is playing with superstars. My guess is he will do what most would do after being traded and say "show me the money" and go to the highest bidder.

    Or…. he signs in Carolina. Unlike last year they got like tripled the cap space this summer compared to last summer
