Trade S skinner and Bouchard as a package deal for either a good goalie or a better D. I think Pickard is a better goalie at this point I'd play him more as least 50%

As far as Bouch. I have to wonder at times if he is not playing with some sort of injury, like concussion because he can be so on and off. Is it that the other players are trying to cover for him?

Definitely trade Bouchard. He's just horrible defensively, his offence is not enough to make up for what he lacks defensively.
I don't think an offer sheet would work with him. I think that unless they offered him like 15 million a year.
I wouldn't trade him unless you got someone better, like maybe Josi, Makar or Hughes. I wouldn't just trade him to "make cap space' to sign Mikko Rantanen. We don't really need another 10+ million dollar forward.
I honestly think if you can get him under 6 million, he would be a good player. He isn't as bad as everyone says he is. He will never be that defensive shutdown guy, but that's not his game. Worse case, have it as a sign and trade.
How are we going to get you off the Gibson train. Watching these goalies for the last 20 games leaves me with these two can battle and win us the cup. Next season, revist it in the offseason, but for this year, goaltending is who they are.

I like Bouchard – probably a lot. But I don’t understand how he can’t be coached to actually try hard when he gets beat, or stop throwing the puck cross ice only to be turned over. If he could develop into even averagely good on defence we’d really have a player. As of now, if he can’t get better on the D … I say trade him.
I wouldn't miss him. Ya, I know about his "bouch bomb", or whatever, he's a hilarious liability defensively, and he's a product of working with better players on the PP, and top line minutes.
Is he bad? No. Is he great? …….. No.
If he wants some fat contract? Send him packing. There is no sustained longevity with every player wanting $10M+ contracts.

You absolutely lock in Bouchard long term, especially with the cap going up. Fans need to change their perspective of what guys are going to get paid with a 100M cap. He had 114 points last year and continues to drive play (3rd on the team in CF%, 4th in SF%, 6th xGF%, 4th in SCF% and 7th in HDCF%). Fans like to hate on Bouchard because he doesn't match their eye test. Simply, he works with our top guys and doesn't rely on them to produce. Bouchard has a 60.51 CF% with McDavid and a 59.61 CF% without. McDavid is 60.7 CF% without Bouchard and without either its 48.99%. With Draisaitl they are 62.1 CF% and without he's 58.56 CF%. Draisaitl actually drops more without Bouchard to 56.04% and without either its 47.92%. This team is better with Bouchard on it.

If Bouchard firmly wants 10M a year then we either trade him now or let him walk after the playoffs. He's a good player and I like Bouchard. It's just hard to justify us giving him more than 7M at the most especially if it's a long-term deal. We could probably get away with 2 years at 7m per year. If he wants longer term it would have to be 5M to 6M per year if I'm the GM. If we sign him to a 9-year contract, 10m per year or something crazy then we're less likely to ever win a cup in the McDavid era.
Bouchard is the 2nd coming of Tyson Barrie – only good for offence, bad for defence. You need a guy like that for sure but is it worth 8M?
I would sign him for 6 million x7 years and give him the title for the Katz residence in Edmonton, saving all that cap space. That would be the cat’s meow.

I think with Bouchards drop in play, he should take a 2 year – 5/6 mil and f he improves then we talk higher money. But he fits in well and we won't get anyone else as good, so try to keep him. With poor goaltending, we need all the offence we can get.
Bouchard is worth maybe 3 mil and Nurse needs to be traded. We need this money to acquire forwards. Even with goalies tops 5 million, not a penny more.
Boo is not worth more than 6 million. Trade him for Brandon Montour who makes 7 million. Imo hes better than Bouchard in all aspects, especially skating.

Not sure to make of this player……he is supposed to have a lethal shot, but routinely passes up shots……even when there open lanes and guys creating traffic. Most perplexing.
I wouldn’t trade him but I don’t think he merits the big contract he may be expecting. His erratic play has hurt the possibility of big $$$, and I think he know it. Trading him before the end of the season could disrupt the team’s chemistry.

We trade bouch, and he wins a cup on his next team like Shultz did and Shultz is no where near bouch’s ability. I don’t want to over pay for him but this is a tough one
why would we trade away our #1 RD? our right side would be abysmal, and he is on PP1. He is a good offensive Defense-man, I don't think we could get fair value for him. But if a good trade comes in that makes sense you do it.

I don't get the fans on this guy. He makes mistake after mistake in his own end. He skates like he's on a sunday drive half the time and sure he has the bomb but he's on one of the best puck moving power plays in the league and how many goals does he get with the shots he takes, his misses often. Trade him now I believe on another team he would be average at best.
