  1. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I miss the Keefe Leafs. I know Berube's systems are better suited for playoff success, but it's just so damn boring to watch on a lot of nights. It's like watching Italy play soccer. Turtle shell defense with no offense.

  2. Thank you for the call out of the "needing a break" and that nonsense "theyre human". We all know. But like you said. Theyre getting paid millions tk play a god damm game. And all the staff for medical and health and nutrition and fitness… All included. Especially when these other teams are all showing up. Media coping….

Also rielly. He's hirrible this year. Theres no hiding it…

  3. As brutal as you claim the Leafs were, the WIld were worse. The Leafs controlled the game at 5 v 5 in both the first and second period, not to mention the third. Perhaps the shots on goal were generous but the Leafs still directed more toward the Wild by a large margin than the other way around. One of those posts go in and it is a different game, that isn't a break by the way, that just a good shot that beat the goalie and missed by an inch. If Matthews doesn't tip that PP goal in for the Wild, and they get a kill, that would help.

As for the excuse talk, you're right. The Leafs have 3 top 6 players playing, the bottom 6 guys who are pulled up into the top 6 are not good, and barely bottom 6 adequate. That isn't going to help in the least. And the defence can't generate a thing still, that needs to change.

  4. Agree 100%… I wish my problems was making millions to play a game and be tired doing it 🖕🏼

  5. a break the leafs are the least traveled team in the nhl have the easiest schedule in the nhl , the leafs are going on their first road trip this weekend , while every other team and some even played in another continents

  6. Every team goes through scoring droughts and losing streaks. Problem is the Leafs have never won sht and lose in the playoffs because they can never score goals, so they aren’t afforded the same confidence as Colorado or Florida.

  7. This is the only team who refuses to split up two of their top players when they're not performing, and it hasn't been 3 games, it's been pretty much HALF the season (not including the other EIGHT years past…)

  8. Sad that no matter the coach, they refuse to be creative with their lines & they refuse to try other players in scenarios where they could excel. Minten with Matthews & McMann? I mean, WHY NOT? Marner, Nylander & Domi? Gotta try SOMETHING different…

  9. Lol…this is the same team that has been here for the last 8 yrs. A soft overpaid parameter playing hockey team run by a dysfunctional organization that have no idea of how to construct a cup contender. Leaf fans refuse to see reality

  10. Yeah I liked McMann with Willy, Berube is perplexing. And man is OEL ever gonna score one of those. He’s had that same look multiple times and still can’t figure it out. You think at some point he’d get lucky and find the back of the net

  11. The 4 Nation's Cup might be throwing off everything, too. Players are already thinking about it. The 82 game season is a grind. Let's start panicking if it's March and our top guys are still not scoring.

  12. "I hate human being talk, break talk" A gem in the middle of one of my new favorite JD rants 😂😂

  13. I mean as far as excuses go – the wild are without kaprizov and still pulling it out. Teams find ways to get it done.

  14. A man goes to church and the people say what brought you here. “I’m here for Morgan Reilly and am here to pray to the hockey gods”😅

  15. So ya wanna win a hockey game but only play for roughly 12mins? Hard to watch these guys.

  16. Watching the leafs is absolutely excruciating. I’m sorry this type of system is not suited for this team’s makeup. The hockey is messy and not entertaining.

  17. Idk if you guys will ever see this, Sammy maybe, but anyway, this team looks like they can’t wait to go on their February break. Domi, McMann, Robertson all look like they’re trying to get something going, Nylander looks like he’s gearing up for the 4 Season Tourney, Marner looks like he’s trying to get ready for 4 season and Matthews looks like he’s just trying not to get injured. Rest of the team is in vay cay mode.
Strip mall in Brampton does sound like an awesome punk rock band.

  19. This was the year we were supposed to have a bottom six that can contribute, but wow it seems like this version is even worse. The bottom six are really really really bad.

  20. As a Wild fan, the season really grinds this time of year, injuries, nicks etc. The Wild, like Toronto have been beyond inconsistent – below .500 at home is insane. Every team hits the wall, you just hope it doesn’t drag. I do agree however that if they don’t want to play, bring up some prospects and you’ll see them play again, quickly. Deep pipeline is the key – competition for ice is always good.

  21. Wild are built for the playoffs, Leafs aren't. Leaf's best line was the 4th – that tells you how the Wild play.

  22. 78 years old and from the age of my dad driving leafs and refs by bus to Detroit before there was a TTC in Toronto. 1967 ….same old , same old…how much is a ticket?

  23. Another one of those uninspiring losses. I didn't bother watching the 3rd because I could see they had no urgency to win. It is so discouraging how often our star players decide to be ghosts or get neutralized. I don't expect them to score every game but they need to at least be dangerous. Be a constant threat so we actually notice you on the ice.

  24. They are out first round again. You can't with 2 lines, and thats all they have if they had an even okay 3rd line. It would be nice i will be dead before these team wins a cup again
