  1. It might be because I'm a biased Kings fan but if the third and fourth offensive lines can come up clutch in the playoffs (or just improve in this coming season) then the Kings are Cup contenders. Their first and second lines on offense are nice, their defense is borderline impossible to get through, Quick is an insane goalie, and Stevens who has spent years under Darryl Sutter, the guy who managed to rally his team back from being down 3-0 in a series to win that series and go on to win the Cup. I think part of the reason the Kings didn't go anywhere last year was because it was his first year being the Kings head coach. Now he's more experienced and should be better.

  2. Kings have a great core there. If Kovalchuk is still good, LA could be a legit contender.

    * If ANYONE is looking to join a VERY STRONG Yahoo, 4 year, Keeper. Large and deep, "points only" (points based, not head to head, or rotisserie) Fantasy League, with an Annual league trophy/mini Stanley cup. Dues = $55 Canadian – $42 American, per season. We have a SOLID group of mostly adult managers from all over North America. WARNING This league is loaded with very strong Managers, so anyone interested should be prepared for the strongest of challenges. This group will SERIOUSLY put your hockey IQ to the test. Last year was the end of our first 4 year term. So this season is a FULL RE-DRAFT and the perfect time to join. Gimme a shout. Only a couple spots left open.

If you're interested in joining, we ask that you share a bit about yourself. IE age, location, do you play, or have any involvement in the game? Favorite team/s, player/s? We do have preference for GM's that have some playing, and or coaching, reffing, managing experience. We don't need great details, we're only hoping to get a sense for your commitment to the challenge, and a vague sense of your hockey IQ. If you have records of your past performances in any pools/fantasy leagues, feel free to provide those.

Shoot us your info through my email, and we'll get back to you. gwdaxa8@yahoo.com

All the best! and Good Luck!

  3. Kovi will be good for atleast 30 G's and 65-70pts. People who think he's too old or not worth it are delusional. Caps fan btw

  4. Are we all forgetting kovalchuck was pretty average, maybe slightly above, prior to leaving the league. He’s just a name at this point

  5. As a kings fan I don't know wtf we(general manager and etc) are doing. We are not a good contender for playoffs at all and we need to get some good draft picks and continue growing Kempe and Vilardi. I just hate seeing our picks go away for the past 2 years over stupid trades. Our depth isn't that good anymore

  6. Kings will make the playoffs but won’t be able to win the cup unless they sign more old and slow men to bad contracts!!

  7. I think they may just make the playoffs……just. We saw last year with them that a good defence will get you to the playoffs but you need a strong offence once there which they didn’t have.

  8. So, according to them if the kings trade a player, they’re significant. If that player stays, he’s got miles on him. That’s what I got from this.

  9. Doughty will rue his 8 year contract and wish he came to T.O. and win more cups wiht Babs and Matty

  10. – Kings still are solid defensively as last season showed, their big issue might be goal scoring, which is probably why they're taking a gamble on Kovalchuk. If he finds his ol' form from when he last played in the NHL it might turn out to be a steal for LA. But things change pretty quickly in 5 years…does Kovy still have that scoring punch? Only one way to find out…I think the Kings will be battling for a playoff spot but they're not a sure bet just yet to make it….

  11. They gonna have to find scoring & hope Quick is his usual self this team has a solid defence too but they get no secondary scoring from other then Top 6 too make playoffs again ! Gabe Valardi is a beast & should crack this line up and with addition of Kovalchuk will be the key

  12. Yk LA Kings fans, my 2 BFF Dominick Efrin & Katya Rivas is the #1 fans of the LA Kings⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚪⚪⚪⚪⚪⚪⚪⚪⚪.

  13. Am I mistaken or did they neglect to mention Carter and how good he is and how well he played coming back from his injury last year. Kopi will mirror his year from last year but watch Carter finish with more points gauranteed. And thats the difference maker. We will make the playoffs and make a run mark my words. We made the playoffs without having Carter so having him, hopefully a full season should push us to a better season.

  14. This organization hasn't been the same since dumping both former head coach Daryl Sutter & their respective G.M.
