Bourne… we care about the money stuff lol Even when the cap is $104M… the Leafs will be spending ALL of it and Leaf fans will continue to care about what every player makes. If the Leafs just start handing out big contracts because the cap is going up… they will never be a Cup contender.
$12M x 8 years for Marner. Leafs have had zero playoff success in the last 8 years. It's clear it doesn't work when Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Tavares, and Rielly are getting all the money. Leafs need that extra cash to add more talent.
