Miller and Petterson were at odds, Petterson clearly underperforming, yet gets REWARDED with a BIG PAYDAY.
TRADE Miller, TEAM LEADER in Locker Room, HEART, for some questionables at best players, and a draft pick.
Canucks are known for some really DUMB trades and contracts, and they are sticking to their guns on this one.
Only Time will tell, and looking at the wreckage of previous trades and dumb moves, I doubt this one will pan out either.

Get rid of a 1C player making $8M/yr so a $11.6M/yr C can play better……and that's the big goal here. Let's all think about that right now. Maybe, the problem all along may be an $11.6M/yr player that needs a team to be built around him rather than him helping to build the team by making others around him better. Sucks to lose Hughes which I never want, but Brock isn't worth keeping now, Demko is not getting better, they've lost the best forward for the playoffs……time to strip it right down and load up on young talent (top-level talent) and high picks.

It's a sad day in Canucksville, as (which happens more and more in recent times), the pouty spoiled kid gets his way if he whines loud enough. Petterrson is a point person game two way player. He had one 100 point season, in a contract year which are usually always the strongest seasons. Canucks fans need to keep it real and stop acting like he is a constant elite 100 point 1C and asking the moon. He is a great player but not what they claim.
Not sure how things are supposed to be easier on Pettersson when he’s still making 11 mil a year and just lost the guy who was carrying, and I quote the team- “More weight on his shoulders than anyone they’ve ever seen”

It’s crazy how many people neglect the fact that it was obvious Miller wanted out.
To even the casual observer you can see on Miller's face that he looked disturbed over the past few months. Hopefully he can heal from whatever is ailing him with a fresh start.

Never saw his potential and never ever thought he is a valuable player for the Canucks. One reason I can't stand the Canucks and don't support or watch them anymore is because of Petterson. Miller was the only reason I would even think of watching a Canucks game. Now never ever will support that team or organization.
