The Canucks better get players through trades because they will never be able to sign a big name UFA. After this Miller/ Pettersen drama played out in the public. No UFA will want to come to Vancouver. They will be questioning what the hell is going on here. The Canucks made themselves look like clowns with the way they dealt with the situation. I know the last few months have been really ugly around the franchise, but I dont know why we didnt have more faith in Rutherford/Allvin to get this all sorted out. Norris would be a great pick up and I dont mind moving Boeser for it if the contract talks with him arnt moving well.
If there's one defense towards Noris, I'll say that his goals are impactful.

Norris is not an impact player and not worth almost $8 mil. Never played a full season and only had one good season. I rather keep Boeser for $8 mil.

They still have to resign Lankanen and Boeser, which they will.
