Big news! Can't believe they got a 1st for granny. Hope him the best.
I get why but I still hate to see granlund go. Ceci was kind of disappointing
Great trade for the Sharks. Have ability to draft or trade pick, and opportunity for younger players to move up from AHL and develop with Mack and Smith.
Number 1 pick getting Matthew because fan getting excited
I really REALLY hope we get Schaeffer. We’ll have a #1 star on offense and on defense. Then it’ll feel like we are set to start steadily winning from that point on.
Nice trade Mike Greer! He is making all the right moves. Shore up the defense and get a good 2C and the Sharks will be on the upswing.
If they don't win the lottery and can't get Schaefer, who is the next best option? My sneaky pick is Misa over the other 2 guys
Why is everyone so high on Schaefer? I don’t see it. He’s good but first overall? I expect Hedman or Makar level skill to go first overall. Would much rather get someone like Martone and add elite scoring and size to our top 6 than draft someone that’s not the best player available just because D is our biggest weakness. We can draft a solid defensemen with our second first rounder.
Can we turn that Dal 1st rd pick and Ferraro (or similar) into Nemec now?!
I kinda hope Sharks and Granlund have a handshake agreement on, like, 3 years at 6M.
Great trade!! Still willing to sign Granlund again this summer.
That EK trade tree looking very nice.
I smell a Bystedt call-up while Wennberg is injured/out rehabbed
Are we thinking Bordy at 2C for the remainder of the year? He’s 23, and 3 years older than Bystedt. His prime will be coming up in 2-3 years here…. So I believe you need to give him the games for the rest of the year to see what u have in an asset, and if he fits with the core. I’ve vlog b4 that I think he can be a 2C on this team, if given the opportunity!! 🎉❤
We could trade the Dallas 1st Rd to devils for that one D prospect
i mean it comes down to july 1st…if stars resign granlund they won the trade…if they dont resign granlund 1st july sharks won the trade
not sure i agree with your top 4 in the west bro…dont forget about the oilers
Return of the tank commander? 😂
Mario Ferraro next?
Players like Granlund always bring back first rounders…..🤣
I would have been disappointed as hell to not get a first for him. Do you not remember us getting a 1st rounder for Barkley Goodrow?
Teams who are trying to win don't put a lot of value on those picks in the first round that will be 24 or below. They are playing for now. Also teams that are just trying to make the playoffs and have been rebuilding for a while, they will part with that 1st rounder as well.
Edit: also, if they do win the lottery this year, Mike better get his butt in gear and make sure it doesn't accidentally happen again. Because, if they win the lottery again, they are not eligible for the first overall pick for another 4 or 5 years……👍
12:01 Reminder about how the draft order works. A team being eliminated in the second round will be in the same draft position as if the team was eliminated in the first round.
1-16: Teams that missed the playoffs
17-24ish: Teams that lost in either the first or second round but did not win their division in the regular season
25ish-28: Teams that lost in either the first or second round and won their division in the regular season
29-30: Conference finals losers
31: Cup loser
32: Cup winner
The reason it's "24ish" is because we don't know how many teams will make the conference final that won their division in the regular season. If none of them make it, their picks would be 25-28. If all of them make it, the nondivision winners would go all the way to 28.
Do you think this will lead to Smith going back to Center? I think Misa would be a great 2C behind Celebrini, and everyone says he's the most Celebrini-like of the players in the draft. Hagens is more like Smith in the playmaking and less two way style.
Mrtka is a good Dman.
Puljurvai would be great as pick up.
The super late first round pick makes me think of Logan Hensler. He's fallen a LOT this year, but right handed d with solid upside.
Good luck to Granlund & Ceci. Thanks for the memories.
Rest of the season tank like last season let players in the line up get a chance and prove why they belong with the future

Have Smith and Eklund swap positions when Smith gets overwhelmed with play Eklund has history playing Center
You look into Byram and Nemec for a defenseman preferably Nemec since there is zero right defensman on our back end
Try to trade more of the bottom guys before deadline (FERRARO KOSTIN STURM RUTTA and DUEHR) have a great offseason and free agency
Am I the only one who wants Zegras in the building?
