The 4 nations tournament is gonna be absolutely huge in Canada. The trade war started last night, by the 12th of february the Can-US tensions will be the highest they've ever been. Canada has never been the most nationalistic, not in my life time, and after so much suck in Canada, I think many many Canadians will see this tournament as a possible win when we're losing in virtually every other area of life. I suspect this will be like the Canada versus the USSR summit series. Iconic something that'll be in the history books forever. There's no way this won't be intense on the Canadian side of things. All we need is Marchand doing a few Boston is basically CAnada chirps, and the USA will be all in as well.
I feel bad for people sleeping on this tournament. For the Canadian players it's gonna be huge. McDavid absolutely has a chip on his shoulder about a lack of success in his career. There's no way he doesn't see this as a way to prove he's on Gretsky's level. Crosby/Marchand are at the ends of their career and they're one injury away from missing the Olympics. Other than Mackinnon/Makar/Morrisey the rest of the roster is fighting to make the Olympic roster.
This whole thing has the recipe to be the perfect event. A year before the Olympics, extreme political tension, a Country desperate for a win. A number of careers being at their end.

Great chat, boys! For the Jersies, I love the classic and the new. The new one is a take on the Air Force logo, both Canadian and British. My dad was in the RCAF for 20 years. Great up going to the base and watching planes. And all things AF. So both the shoulder wing patch and the center logo bring back those memories. It's an honor to wear them as well.
