Avs fan here, I've been pretty convinced that Landeskog is done for about a year. He hasn't even started practicing yet. The few things we've seen of Landy skating look labored and slow.

I think Jesse is right. A 4-goal game is not a hat trick, because the player has gone beyond 3 goals. A 4-goal game should have a different name
Flames defence were absolutely atrocious last night. That didn’t help. Also Domi drug Wolf out of the net with his stick for the one goal. Not sure how that counted.
If Casey Mittelstadt is 3C, why not move Domi to wing with Matthews, Mitch with Tavares and Willy with Mittelstadt. Roll three lines and just come in waves.

Wow I thought you mispoke about Kadri and Tavares being the same age……Tavares is a throwback to olde times when people seemed to age faster than today. I mean Tavares is younger than both Steve and Adam (maybe Jessie?) you'd be hard put to guess it.

You pointed out a 6-goal game being a double hat trick; in lacrosse it’s called a “sock trick” cause that’s the other thing people go to throw on the floor 🤣. Happens about 1-2 times a season in the NLL
Jesse is wrong 4 goals is a hat trick + 1 goal. You don’t loose the hat trick when you score the 4th goal

Cozens has been pathetic for almost 2 seasons. Haven't seen a guy look so scared to have the puck on his stick. He might bounce back elsewhere. I don't think he's fixing his game here in Buffalo.
3 goals is a hatrick. Any multiple goal games is just that. If you hit 6 its a double hat trick
The problem with weekday games early in the day with the nhl is kids are usually in school and people are at work. Baseball can get away with that because school is out for the summer and parents and teachers are able to get off work more often in the summer
So thwi things about the Sabres:
1) it wasnt staged (theyve said as much not that it really makes a difference)
2) they fucked up with the Thompson thing but until theres another chance to see if they toughened up this isnt worth talking about
As an NHL fan living in the UK, more day games please. It's selfish, but they play 2600+ games, just give a few more so I can have a beer and watch some hockey on a Wednesday evening …

Steve, there is no way Avs fans will like a Middlestadt for Cozens trade. Both Middlestadt (-13) and Cozens (-17) are dead last in their respective teams on plus/minus. This only makes the Avs worse

hartman needs to be gone, unfortunately the NHLPA will fight for hartman. Typical union protect the stupid/useless
