  1. hello guys, i’m trying to get into hockey and i’m from northern california so of course i chose sharks. watched the game tonight and it was fun. been reading rules and trying to learn the game. what should i look forward to with the sharks? what’s the situation? do we like the ownership and/or direction of the team? who’s good and/or young and promising? just trying to get into it so any insights are appreciated

  2. Your preview was spot on regarding what kind of game it would be. Tough loss but the boys played hard. Macklin will learn from that mistake in the 3rd

  3. Bummer it ended like it did. Celebrini finally made a mistake, ugh, but overall was awesome as always. All the young guys played well except Muk (he had a bit of a bad game).

That was not a penalty shot! Add that to taking a goal from us last game and double ugh! lol.

Great pregame as you were definitely spot on. Still, love the fight from the team. Next year will be so much fun! 🙂

  4. When it comes to Graf. I will state what I have since the GMMG acquired him.

Graf was 5 foot 8 inches at 145 pounds in his draft year. He was 17 at the time and played for two NCAA programs. His last was Quinnipiac (a Division 1 team) where he was in the Hobey Baker conversation each of the two years he played.

He was a finalist along with Will Smith and Macklin Celebrini last season. He was third in voting if I remember right.

During his time in the NCAA he gained 5 inches in height and 40 pounds in two plus seasons. He played a few games for the Sharks last season and in the offseason he added another 10-15 pounds of muscle before this season.

It is the reason he was not drafted. Being that small and slight, even with his skill no one would draft him. He worked and worked and grew and grew.

The great thing about Graf is he learned to play a small mans game. Had to learn how to play the angles and use leverage when he is in the corners as well as work harder than the next player. So he has that dog in him because he had to.

On the negative, he is still learning to use his body, both in his hitting and skating. His shooting and playmaking has remained the same. Watch him skate and you will see what I mean.

When he fully adjusts to his new size and strength he will be even better than he is now. In the end Graf will be a very good middle six winger. GMMG made a great pickup getting Graf.

He is another player that figures to play prominent minutes next season. Add him to Will Smith, Macklin Celebrini, William Eklund, Fabian Zetterlund, Shakir Mukhammadullin, Jack Thompson, Henry Thrun, Nikolai Kovalenko, and Yaroslav Askarov, and the future is teal!!

  5. I wouldn’t say the sharks found a way to loose as much as the refs found a way to make the Canucks win. I’ve been watching hockey for almost 20 years and I’ve never seen a penalty shot awarded in OT in my entire life.
