@Maple Leafs de Toronto

1. I'd love to see it IF and only if it's in the 3rd round to see who goes to the final. I'd like to see the same thing in the west with the Canucks and either Calgary or Edmonton with the Nucks going through to the final. An all Canadian final would be EPIC!!!

  2. Thank god it would be awesome. I’m sick of having the same fucking matchups every damn year in the first round

  3. I remember being in Toronto for work in 2001 or 2002, during one of those tor-ott playoff series, after a win by the leafs. There had been a huge crowd on yonge street, and people had thrown around trash bags that had been left on the street for pickup. There were what appeared to be sensitive financial statements scattered all over the place. Exciting time

  4. As a Capitals fan, I hope that we don't see Ottawa in the first round (USA capital vs Canada capital) because an Ottawa vs Florida brotherly hate matchup, or a battle of Ontario would be so much better for the sport.

  5. That would be so cool to have a Battle of Ontario in the first round. But also, I wouldn’t mind having a Matthew vs Brady Tkachuk series 🔥

  6. My money is on Ottawa. They're a blue collar, gritty, hard-working team, just the type that wins playoff hockey.

  7. As a hockey fan this would be sick and I'd love to see it play out, as a Leafs fan it scares me because Sens games feel like scheduled losses.

  8. If the sens get into the playoffs, they'll have made the playoffs the last time, did 1 or 2 total rebuilds and made the playoffs again in 5 years less than the Sabres playoff drought

  9. Would love to see it happen but not till the 3rd round because it would be more epic than in the 1st or 2nd round. Also because then it guarantees a Canadian team moves on to the finals.

  10. As a Leafs fan, "Greg Riley" sent me. It's Ridley Greig. And he is the reason we are stuck with this shell of a man in Morgan Rielly. We'll need him to awake Morgan for that playoff season if the time comes.

  11. it could happen but the sens always loses to the leaves in the playoffs. They met 4 times and lost all 4. Regardless wich round they meet, the leafs fans will instantly say that they're going to the next round due to the history between these 2 and if it's the conference final then Toronto will probably burn itself to the ground even before the first game because they'll be celebrating a trip to the SCF before it starts!

  12. Seeing how the Sens have a better playoff record over the last 20 years there's a strong chance they sweep the leafs in 3.

  13. There are two possible paths to this. If Ottawa can get back into one of the division spots and Toronto stays in second in the division. Or if Ottawa gets the first wild card spot and Toronto finishes first in the division. (It is very unlikely that anyone will catch Washington for first in the conference. ) Of course for Ottawa any playoff appearance would be an accomplishment. The did not have a stretch of futility like this even when they first came into the league. They were so bad they did not even make it into the expanded playoff format of 2020 under the Covid bubble.

  14. Apparently Tampa Bay doesn't since they kept beating Ottawa!

    No doubt though that it'd be quite the series if it happened. Been a long time.
