Jake Allen deserves the shutout. Montreal tried everything, but Allen stood as a rock. What a game.
Devils are a feast or famine team right now.. let’s hope consistency starts to peak through
i could tell 10 minutes in that no one was scoring on former hab Allen. Never, EVER underestimate the power of the formerly shunned player. If it's a forward… expect thundering bodychecks and a hat-trick, if it's a goalie, expect Jake Allen tonight. Every Save had F.U. written all over it.
That's it for montreal. They suck now. They needed to win a lot more regulation games during that stretch. It's over.
Laughing at those folks hyped about Habs making the playoffs. Nope, they simply enjoyed a hot streak and are now coming back down to earth to what they are. Lower bottom divisional dweller.
The habs didn't look as bad as I expected. They actually created some good opportunities offensively. I mean they aren't the leafs (an offensively focused team) and they probably aren't ever going to be that. But compared to other versions of the habs, I like what I see a bit. I think the defence being involved on the offensive side of things may be a big improvement over former teams and may become a big part of their identity as they develop and move forward. That pass by Dach was pretty nice too
