1. Yeah I wonder how many people are going to come crawling back onto the bandwagon after writing this team off before 🤷‍♂️ 🙂

  2. No they are not.. they have no goal scores. They’re down over a goal a game from last year

  3. pettersson and meyers look really good together. petie was moving the puck really well and is undoubtedly the best passer on the team. before your time but they looked like the '99 NJD's. get the lead and lock it down.

  4. The biggest difference in the defense is that they take the right decisions, keeping position and no longer need to cover for bad decisions leaving an other hole behind them.

  5. You look at the hronek goal that’s a leader. He lifts petey up because of the pass. We were criticizing based on giving a first up. It is no longer looking like a bad trade

  6. I think people have been forgetting that any sort of trade or coaching change brings a fresh energy into the room. They’re playing great, and the additions / moves are good ones, but the existing players were always going to step it up after a big trade because they know they need to prove something, and the other centers know there’s a spot to earn.

  7. Hronek has really stepped up. Looking forward to seeing how this defensive rotation looks once Hughes is back and healthy. As a Canadian and a Canucks fan I selfishly hope he'll sit out the 4 nations tournament in order to rest and heal, but I won't be upset if the guy wants to go and play with some of the best in the world.

  8. EP40 definitely looked more engaged in the O-zone that shift. Big reverse hit, smartly making time for himself and catching Hronek with that sick pass. Even if the speed isn't there cause of his knee injury stuff he can still create plays, so hope the 4 nations tourney helps bring more of that back for him.

Also hope Sherwood stays on his line. I like those 2 together.

  9. The Canucks won . That’s great. What I still don’t understand is why the Canucks have to start a home game at 4:00 P.M.
it’s supposed to be a home game and that is to our advantage. Then the league makes them start to appease the people back east. Can’t they stay up past 10:00 p.m. ? Why should the Canucks have to cater to the east? It’s our home game. It should be a regular Saturday start time. Screw the east.

  10. I was BITING MY NAILS this game. I'm a Canucks fan, but I'm rooting for all Canadian teams to do well this season, someone has to break that cup drought for Canada. I was VERY nervous, the leafs have what is essentially a guaranteed playoff spot, and have a greater chance at winning a cup this year than they have had in DECADES, and that's from a Nucks fan. Leafs are SCARY this year, so this was the ultimate test for our boys and the new blood of the team. Lankinen again being a Psycho and taking pucks left and right like a serial bank robber, but I just hope to God Demko is okay. I have to say it, there's no way his knee is good, he has to be still hurt, and needs time off. Good news, is give him another month-ish, and he should be playable for the Playoffs, if which I think he would have made a GALACTIC difference last year. Canucks are rolling up to a spot with a 2023-2024 Bobrovsky-esque Kevin Lankinen in their pocket, and that is DANGEROUS. As long as Lank stays healthy, and Quinn Hughes comes back in hopefully good time and healed up, this is a Cup-Ready Canucks team, J.T Miller or not. Wishing the Leafs the best as well as all the other Canadian teams and fans of said teams, let's ALL go get the cup!!! GO CANUCKS GO!!!

  11. The vibe has changed around the team, of that there can be no doubt. A much improved game from EP40 who played at a solid 8-9 million rate, don't you think?

But you know, if you average the price of the Petterssons the package is under 5.5 million per Petey. I'd say we're getting good enough value on a Pete by Pete basis and the Pete compete level is complete enough to compete.

That level will pop as Petey's new paper pumps prices to a paltry 6 mil per. Not peanuts but palatable.

I hope they can repeat the Pete compete completely after they rest and replete.

  12. You could also say that the rest of the team has been relying on Hughes too much and sitting back. Now that Hughes is out again and with the timing of the JT trade, they've had to relearn to play as a team and not just following behind Hughes. In addition, with the new guys coming in and having to prove themselves, I can see that helping to push the established players to work harder as well. Tonight's game was a full 60 mins effort and a lot more confident plays, a very nice game to watch in a long time.

  13. Might as well do all the 4 Nations games. even though there aren’t any Canuck players on Team Canada, Tocc is still there as a coach and the majority of people watching are gonna want to see your take on THE hockey superpower.

  14. Hey Dean just wanted to say love your videos man 😎 I would totally like to see you cover each of the 4 nations face off games, your breakdowns are awesome. Keep up the great work dude 👊
