  1. Very great episode as always, I really enjoy when you guys have Josh Yohe on. That makes complete sense about the 2026 offseason, I also think next season will be it for Geno given the fact he will be 39 next season, he's in the final year of his contract, and he's still good but he's definitely slowed down you can see the injuries he's had over his career have definitely slowed him down and multiple knee injuries will do it and he's had a couple of major ones.

Hunter, I also agree with you this is probably the best international US Team that I have seen and I remember the 2010 Olympic Team in Vancouver and that was a pretty good team also that wasn't short of talent you had guys like Phil Kessel, Joe Pavelski, Patrick Kane, Zach Parise, Ryan Suter, Ryan Callahan, Dustin Brown, and Ryan Miller who absolutely stole the show in Vancouver, but this team is stacked and don't forget, it's a US Team that doesn't even have Jason Robertson, Tage Thompson, Alex Tuch, Cole Caufield, Clayton Keller.

If you look back though, the best US International Team was by far the 1996 World Cup Roster that roster was loaded with not just good player but hall of famers.

  2. One thing that Kyle has done that has gone very underrated was the hiring of Kirk MacDonald in WBS who is clearly good at running the show there and helping with the development of the players

  3. If we get rid of Rak, we have to go out and spend more money to get similar production. He makes every line he plays on better (last year was a tough down year). Him and rust are value contracts for their production.

  4. I think unless the roster becomes much better and the team is not playing well, I will be fine with MS being the coach.

  5. Wow, that's kind of interesting that Dubas was willing to let Sullivan go to New Jersey last summer but Sullivan refused, first time I've heard that.

  6. i think kyle is gonna use cap space like banker like hayes deal

  7. Here another thing if usa is able to shutdown, sid, nate dog ,macdavid, marner, marker then they win all usa

  8. Like you guys forgot about something usa has only 3 player that won 3 cups and Canada has player won total 18 cups like they experienced is gonna be big factor but sure usa has best goalie duo the question is what goalie are gonna get from Connor hellebuck the one in season or the one who has hard time playing in playoffs that another thing

  9. This would be the funniest karma thing ever. Let’s say the Rangers keep their first round pick this year, due to being in the top 13 and the Penguins get their pick next year.

Let’s say the Rangers bottom out and are awful next year and would have the number one overall pick, which would go to the Penguins and Gavin McKenna would come to Pittsburgh lol.

I doubt that happens, but that would be hilarious Igor Shesterkin I think is the only reason why the Rangers won’t bottom out because he can single-handedly steal games for them.

  10. I’m all in on adding Mitch Marner to this team! He can help with the now trying to get one more for Sid and Geno, as well as be the leader for the young hopefully fast coming baby Penguins in the system. Can he play Center? If not I’m still all in on him being next to Sid or Geno!

  11. Is it just me, or has Graves been playing better with Desharnais than he did with any of the other defensemen?

  12. Do you think that Dubas would package the Rangers' first with Jarry to move that contract?

  13. 2 players i wish were not here obviously graves and jarry i wish weren't on the pens cap but malkin and letang hurt us more than help

  14. I’m so excited to watch Canada’s powerplay. But we all know as Penguins fans that just because you have the best players on the same unit doesn’t mean it’s automatically going to be a success. Hope it’s as fun to watch as it looks on paper

  15. Always good when Josh Yohe is able to give his insight! He’s the main reason why I even have The Athletic.

  16. Looking forward to the rebuild/retool. This needed done 3 years ago. Malkin will retire from nhl but not hockey. Will finish his career in khl. Already said he wants too. I would take that 2nd 1st rd pick and a prospect and trade for trevor zegras. We all saw his potential. Injuries and i think he just needs a change of scenery. Pens will probably pick in the 7 to 10 range with their own 1st rounder. Whats you guys take on roger mcqueen? I know he's been injured for most of this season. His size and skill has to be intriguing to a lot of gm's. Skating is his biggest knock from what i've read. Im curious because i think he will be available to pick in that range

  17. Josh losing weight? Your looking great my guy (in a total dude comment type of way)… keep up the great work
