  1. What's crazy about the Red Wings is that up until the coaching change, they had the easiest schedule in terms of opponents and yet they looked absolutely lifeless from one game to the next. They were simply unwatchable. Since the change, they've had the most difficult schedule and yet they've had not one but two 7 game winning streaks in 20 games including wins against the Panthers, Jets, and Oilers.

  2. Even if the Jackets don’t make the playoffs this year they are showing a lot of promise for next year. Marchenko is absolutely the real deal. The Jackets look like a different team with him out.

  3. Just want to say I love Tree including the song credits for each team segment. A small addition but a welcome one.

  4. The Habs flashes were there, but that Guhle injury sent 'em back to pre-Carrier trade status, unfortunately :/

Overall, they're getting there. They need the stability on the right side of the blue line, and better consistency offensively. If they finish out playing .500ish hockey, I'm pretty happy on the year. Demidov countdown begins this spring!

  5. Agree with most about the Lightning. I disagree that backup goalie is a need at the deadline. Most of our back-to-backs are behind us and I have no problem with his play recently. More pressing is the need for a 2nd line RHD forward (Boeser, Tuch) etc. Our team is much more balanced when Nick Paul doesn't have to try and carry the thrid line to score. Depth scoring is definitely an issue, but its worth noting that teams had a .921 save percentage (!) against the lightning in January. I am not worrying much yet

  6. The biggest thing for the Capitals is that no one made the 4 Nations rosters so they get around 13 days to rest and get healthy. Which means Ovi can rest up. They're getting the break they need.

  7. “Just play fucking hockey” I can’t believe that quote has single handedly turned around the Red Wings season.

  8. As a Wings fan, I will say this Tree: Enjoy hockey Hell! The Penguins will be there for a long time. Also, it was worth it.

  9. My guy added titles to the bgms used in his video?!?

The hero we need. In both shitposting and music, he's got us covered. A thousand thanks to you

  10. Love the way the Panthers have been looking. If Chucky is fired up, the team plays really well. They still play their highly physical playoff style of hockey, and they’re finally starting to score again. A bit worried about the defensive pairings though, looks a little frail with Shmidt involved.

On the other hand, I like the way the Wings are playing under Todd. Raymond is looking more and more like a complete player, and if we can get our depth going, I think playoffs is possible.

  11. I barely watch hockey. I mean barely barely watch it. But I am just here to say F Canada. Matthew Thchuck should be given a presidential medal of freedom.

  12. Still need to get around to watching a full hockey game, but this is my fifth year of watching Tree cover hockey.

Thanks for helping me be able to at least have a basic idea of the hockey world to be able to talk to my coworkers about hockey in the gap between football & baseball season Tree! 😂

  13. As a Chicago Wolves fan ( AHL Affiliate of the Canes) I feel like they could make a deep run in the playoffs. Jarvis is in his prime, you got good goaltenders like Freddy and Pyotr And the Prospects are looking great in Chicago. The only problem is Mikko Rantanen not being signed yet…..

  14. The Flyers dodged a bullet with Quitter Gauthier, nobody in that town misses his worthless ass 🐷

  15. Pittsburgh needs a 25-game win streak to be playoff contenders again, but who are we kidding they'll get a WC spot.

  16. 2025 marks 50 years of failure for the Flyers. Lucky for them no one in Philly is paying attention. (Ditto the Sixers, TBH)

  17. I'm actually happy that the Columbus Blue Jackets are playing well. Do it for Johnny, Columbus and Calgary.
