As a bruins fan. This team has missed out on sooo many draft opportunities. My boy pasta needs some help BAD. He’s making Morgan look like a 60 goal scorer.
Bergeron probably the biggest adjustment they haven’t been able to make , understandable . cant really replace a guy like Bergy that quickly
As a bruins fan improved in every area 😂🤣 come on even you know that’s not true
They should’ve focused on age and agility/speed… They have WAY too much big and slow players. Pasta gotta be done at this point
Fire Sweeney and Neely… bad trades . Bad signings for too much money.
Watch a Bruin game and every other SOG is an across the face one-timer or deflection off Carlo/Zadorov. If they didn’t have Pasta & Swayman they might be worst team in league. Agree with your assessment though.
The coaching is atrocious and management is doing a whole lot of nothing
Management is absolute garbage. Fired two coaches who shouldnt have been fired
Love these type of vids
Absolutely Sweeney
After 1 bad year now it’s time to panic and freak out
Upper management is absolutely most to blame for their failures
5:05 after watching the progression of Lindholm and Zadorov in CGY can confirm those comparisons are very generous. Lindholm is a good comp piece and had miracle chemistry with Tkachuk and Gaudreau
🐻 Read so many comments about firing Neely and Sweeney and replace them with ????
And don sweeney was handed team canada and chose fucking binnington
Gratz on the 20k! 👋👋👋
They got to bring Tufte up from the AHL
pretty crippling? the cap is going up 20mil. those deals will seem fine next year wait for those 15-16mil contracts on the top end. 7mil on hampus and 5 for coyle are much worse deals. not to mention 9.5 for mcavoy.
The bruins future is basically dependent on dean letourneau turning out good. If he doesn't work out i don't know where the bruins go from here.
I won’t believe until Don Sweeney moves on. Signed a B’s fan who prefers watching about 10 other teams over that dumpster fire.
Sweeney and Neely both need to go. Bruce Cassidy should still be here, great guy & great coach.
Sweeney has traded away the future and the farm for the past decade. Trading away multiple first round picks
Year after year after year
Sweeney needs to go, he destroyed this franchise
I don't think it's even that deep. Their best players have been injured for long stretches of the year.
– Pasta: injured in the World Cup, seemed not fully conditioned and hesitant to shoot the puck and suddenly in January he's back to scoring.
– McAvoy: nagging wrist issue for who knows how long, finally had to hit the IL.
– Marchand: recovery from offseason surgeries took longer than expected, hampered by pain in the first couple months of the season.
– Hampus: missed 37 games with a broken knee on a blocked shot.
– Swayman: not an injury, but the missed camp seemed to really impact him.
I don't know for sure, but it also looks like Elias is just not confident in his shot. Have to wonder if something is bothering him, too. He's missed the net on unblocked shots at a career-high rate.
Where you're spot-on is that they sorely need another true top-6 talent. Bump one of Geekie, Zacha, or Coyle down and this team looks a lot better.
The baffling thing about this season is how the forwards sometimes completely forget how to play defense. They give up these puck movement 101 plays far too often and it makes the goaltending and D-men look bad. That and the PP being an absolute disaster. If their PP was even mediocre instead of terrible, they'd be leading their division.
As for where they go from here, it has to be a retool/reload. They need to look for players that help them the next 2-3 years. Picks are good, but prospects or young NHLers are betters. They can't do a full rebuild with the amount of NMCs they have, but those mid-level contracts with term are going to look better and better as the cap goes up.
Nice video, but those record breaking Bruins from 2 year ago lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs, not the first round.
As a Bs fan I said after the 21/22 season it might be time to blow it up. Then we went onto win 65 games(still don’t get how we did this) and choked like usual. I wasn’t even surprised i got so used to it and honestly expected it. After this I knew for sure they were done. After we lost to the canes in 7 in 2022 it just hit me that the Bruins had missed their chance in 2019. Sweeney and Neely have to go. Honestly greedy ass Jacobs needs to sell the team. We are gonna be mediocre or just above it for a while i fear
They got bigger, tougher, dumber, sloppier. I wanted them to get tougher but NHL toughness isn’t all about fighting and taking stupid penalties.
Kid, you don't no anything about what bruins fans feel. Panic and uncertainty this year? Sorry, we felt that 2 years ago during their "Record breaking" season. None of us were surprised by that pathetic effort in the playoffs. We do not trust this team and it starts with an absentee owner hiding behind a snow bank in Buffalo. This team has done nothing since he bought this team. One lucky cup thanks to Tim Thomas, that's disgraceful. You don't have a clue about us in Boston, go away
The series of events throughout Sweeney’s tenure is what brought them to this point. It’s surprising it didn’t happen sooner. 2015 draft could’ve have turned this current core into a Dynasty. Spending David Backes’ money in a better way gets them a cup in 2019 and they are playing Karson Khulman on their 2nd line. It’s time for Sweeney, and Neely to go.
Was wondering what they might do if they feel the team is just doomed without top end talent. Had a thought about trading McAvoy for a top pick or something if like the Sharks pick #3 and can’t get Schaeffer. Not sure if either would want that but could get the Bruins a top line center without tanking
It's rough being a B's fan post the 2011 Cup win. All I can say is, "wasted potential." I've looked at their "success" since then, it's brutal. Jacobs doesn't care. He has accepted that he could have a team of beer leaguers and the Garden will be full. They exist to bounce Toronto round 1, and that doesn't even look like it'll happen this year. Limp into a playoff spot if they even make the wildcard and get the doors blown off in 5. Probably gonna be sellers at the deadline, but I don't trust Sweeney to gain capital he'll ultimately squander *COUGH 2015 COUGH*. I dread Pasta pulling a Bourque and winning a Cup elsewhere.
As a bruins fan I think this year we try and win as much then next year lose
Bro, I would love for E. Lindhom to be a 60-point player. He's looking more like a 40-point player right now…
Pasta needs help
This year I don't see them getting pass the 1st round again
We spent too long trusting Pukka. He was a playoff choke artist.
