lol these games gonna earn crazy money if they put slot machines in there
Prediction: Vegas will stay below 30 wins
30 win team. 30-45-7 giving them 67 points
The Vegas Golden Knights will challenge for the worst season in the cap era
I've been a life long Golden Knights fan and to see this team finally come together brings a tear to my eye 😭
The only reason I like the expansion is because all of these players deserve to be in the league. If anything it gives more opportunity to more players, so for that, sure I like the Vegas expansion. Not sure I would have chosen Vegas over Québec, Seattle or even another Minnesota team… but hey, hope it works out for them.
MLSE just sold their arena naming rights for 800 million. Why not invest that money into a new franchise 4-5 years down the road? They (meaning rogers and bell) could parlay that money into another franchise that would be profitable? I believe bell has stakes in both the montreal canadiens and the leafs, so why not help muster up a relocation deal with Rogers and move this team to a city that deserves it (aka Quebec)? They got it right once, with the move from Atlanta to Winnipeg. Why not do it again?
I think they can be a decent team
Anxious!!
I'm really excited for the players on this team to really get some top line minutes and get a chance to show what they can do. Really pulling for the Flower to do great as well
I'm surprised Vegas took Nate Schmidt instead of Philip Grubauer. Nate Schmidt is a very talented defensemen but I think Grubauer would have been better for them as the number 2 goaltender instead of Calvin Pickard. Nate Schmidt would have had a top 4 role on the blue line for Washington
Please don't leave hurricanes
I sincerely think Flower will retire with Pittsburgh
The more i look at what these guys got on paper, the more i see they have a pretty great starting team to work with. Sure they might not exactly have a proven number 1 Center yet but thats what preseason and training camp is not so they can see which one fits in best i think Haula or Eakin will get the job in the end tho, they are also already going to have a top goal scorer in Marschesault (surprised he wasn't even mentioned in this), they got a lot of defensemen they can work with, and they got Fleury as their goaltender and when he becomes unreliable some games, you have Pickard there to pick up the slack some games, because Pickard has been with a Colorado defense that wasn't good for the past years he was with them, i think he's an underrated goalie and can make a splash under a new system and i think it can be with this new team. Obviously like every other logical person, the reality is is no playoffs for this team yet, we gotta see where this year will take them, however i can maybe expect a winning season for this team at least this year but if it doesn't happen thats fine too, its all about seeing what works and what doesn't for them this year
Vegas Knights sounds much better then the Golden Knights. I mean seriously who came up with that horrid name?
Vegas is gonna suck
I predict them to be the 1975 Caps.
"It would be an amazing story if an expansion team makes the playoffs"
Blues 1968?
Can't wait for knights to face my favorite team the SJ SHARKS🦈
How long until they relocate to Quebec City?
– Short & sweet: Vegas won't be a playoff team for a while yet…BUT they should at least be a team that can compete win or lose. Might lose a lot of close game perhaps. But be careful…take 'em a bit too lightly, or let your guard down…& your team could be on the receiving end of one of Vegas' 1st wins in their expansion year.
Vegas Golden Knights aside, the Canucks will be better than the Oilers and the Leafs in 2-3 years
(Like if you're coming from The Hockey Guy)
Las Vegas should've pick Shattenkirk instead of Schmidt
The NHL couldn't do better than these two 3rd rate clowns? Rosen just repeats what he read on The Hockey News and the other guy's just a toady. No retired players available? These two can't even skate. And if they're expecting Fleury to be the 'face of the franchise', what a mistake. He's an introvert, not some showman. Solid goalie but not a Mr. Vegas type guy. And expecting James Neil to think of anything but himself is pointless. He's not a team guy, which is why the Penguins got rid of him and then the Preds didn't protect him.
Vegas first game is away vs. Dallas I think and first home game is against Arizona correct me if I'm wrong I'm gonna bet they go 2-0
When they face a seasoned team like the Ducks, Blackhawks, Pittsburg, San Jose… they're gonna fall apart.
Novelty alone will sell tickets in the beginning, but Las Vegas only likes WINNERS as shown by attendance #'s at UNLV ncaa bb. One advantage LV has is casinos that will buy luxury level seats for high rollers. Foley has spent beaucoup denero for what appears to be his dream team?
He forgot Tyler Wong
I feel triggered by these comments but I'm laughing at the same time
Watching this december 2017…………
I'M SO passed flurry left Pittsburg
I mean pissed
So… how did this work out?
Well NOW doesn’t everyone feel a bit silly…
Wow look at vegas now they made it to the playoffs and won there divison
And Vegas made the Stanley Cup Finals….
9 months later they are in the Stanley cup finals. Everyone was wrong
stanley cup finals! Interresting to see at wich point Vegas shook the NHL
And then they won their division, swept the Kings, and went to the Stanley Cup Finals with guys like Karlsson and Marchessault who REALLY stepped up. Gotta hand it to them.
3 years later: Vegas has been cup contender for all of there existence
