Matthews has been hurt all year. We know that, but the Americans don't.
He sure doesn't look like the hockey god from last year, so he's definitely bothered by something.
Mitch isn't gonna get that encore due to Matthews being on the losing team. They handled that right. Mitch proved himself, he knows it now and so do the fans.
Passing Sundin is the dumbest take ever. I cringe every time I hear it.

The last 7 minutes were CHAOS & it seemed like the Leafs ran out of gas & their brains went into sleep mode & Carolina smelled blood in the water & turned it on hard.
I called into a Boston Sports radio show Friday. They ROASTED AM34. They gave flowers to Team Canada and see AM34 as a total loser. They said he "Leafed the United States" and that Toronto has no chance with this guy.

This was my first Saturday night leaf game and man the crowd was still too quiet. Don’t get me wrong there were times where it was loud but I don’t know if it was because it was 4-0 after the first and everyone just thought it was over. It was a great game to be at but I was a little disappointed by the crowd.
Rantanen I noticed him making lots of mistakes I thought he was one of there worst players he has been crapy

It was hilarious Marchant receiving his post game Canada win accolade in Boston Gardens. The Gardens seemed to go eerily quiet for a few seconds.
As much as I bash Marner, the guy deserves his flowers, and the Leafs social media team should have proped him up before that puck drop. That pass was beautiful and will be cemented in Canadian Hockey history.
If 4 Nations Cup, Marner shows up in the playoffs, then I will give him his flowers once again.

Marner averages 23 goals season. If Tre gives him 13 million, he should be fired on the spot. Also he has 11 career playoff goals. Rantanen has that many in a playoff season.

I've been tough on this show in the past.. but it really is a great take about not giving Marner any pregame love for 4nations. The only thing I can think of, is that it really does come down to playoffs with this team and with their core players. Nothing else matters, not even Team Canada. Once Marner performs in the playoffs, he'll get the love.
I find it funny that the Leafs socials were posting every time Marner had a big assist or a big goal in the tournament but didn’t mention Matthews any time he had an assist 😭
I get tired of the Mitch and Mathews ' lack of playoff performance ' talk . Mitch is 312 all time for the Leafs 50pts in 57 games and +10 , Mathews 48 pts in 55 games +2 , Sundin #2 70pts in 77 games +7 , Sittler #4 in 64 games -14 . The Leafs playoff problems is not them , its been goaltending and lack of secondary production .
