  1. A little bummed at the result but the fact that the sharks took the second best team in the league to OT is kind of a win in itself. Also some really good play from the top line and guys like Wennberg, Graf, and Vanachek.
Still scratching my head on that OT lineup though… kind of a whiff from Warso.

  2. Is there a world where Vanecek get his 1 – 0 shutout and the Jet trade for him for a 3rd? Kind of the Blackwood.

Can you see a path for the next year Sharks to be in the Flames position this year, fighting for a playoff spot due to great goaltending?

  3. This game made me want to sign Vancek to a 1 year 6M+ deal for next year. He has been such a bright spot this year when healthy but he deserves to get that long term security somewhere this offseason

  4. Excellent episode, a always. They got beat by a better team. Am happy to see Vitek play well and a lot of the young guns as well. I heard there were a lot of scouts at the game. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next week and a half.

I am still hoping GMMG adds a player or two that are young and fits the timeline. Fingers crossed.

  5. They need to sign some veteran leadership next year to play complimentary to the kids. We need a bridge captain with Couture's career likely done. I do think Eklund needs to be wearing an A on his jersey next season.

  6. Wins would be nice but the fact that we're close in almost all the games we play… that is dramatic and drastic improvement over the previous season.

I'm hoping for Schaefer but feel Misa would be a superb consolation prize if we don't get Schaefer. Our odds at the first pick are the best and if Chicago, Philly and Buffalo win the first pick I think they'd all take Misa so even with a second pick we have a good shot at Schaefer anyway.

A Dickinson pair and a Schaefer pair would be monumental for the Sharks who are already loaded on top forward prosects and have the goalie of the future.
Misa as the second line center behind Celebrini would give us two lines with a 200 ft. defensively conscientious center on each line; imagine Celebrini, Eklund and Musty then Misa, Smith and Chernyshov. That would be sick… although I still prefer Schaefer if we can get him.

The wins will come, we're not that far from the victory in most of our games.
