That was one game that I Definitely, not seeing it coming. After Watching Leafs last Cup that was 55 yrs ago I would say I would know right out of the Flood gates the Leafs were going to lose hands down .First minute defence breakdown and Of all players Pasta on a breakaway n scored.Even better at TD Grds. This game had all Leafs traits. Their Pass’s n shots were totally off,Turn overs , give away galore. Mathews non existent.Their First PP line Couldn’t set up and to top things if it weren’t for Stoli this game would’ve been Over before it started . I seen at least 6 goals if not more.When the only player that looked good was Robertson . That’s when I knew this game was Leafy n over . Than the unthinkable they scored 3 unanswered goals . I thought “is this for real” than a giveaway from McCabb to make it 4-3 .Again I said to myself it’s over but than Less than a minute of all players Holmburg scored wtf??? Overtime Nylander injured. For sure a OT lost but than again Stoli makes a spectacular Save MARNER on a breakaway n freezes Swayman for a OT winner . All this up n down rollercoaster ride at the 4 Nations Finals TD garden. I seriously didn’t see it coming. But I’ll take the 2 points any given day . GO LEAFS GO

One thing I havent seen mentioned much is the play leading to Marners OT winner. He got beat very easily due to throwing a lazy poke check and almost cost the Leafs the game, but somehow it didnt lead to a goal. Next he sat there puck watching and almost didnt catch the break up the ice due to waiting. Im glad he got the goal, but that play could have gone differently.

After 2 I was like meh – 3 games in 4 nights. Bruins want it more. Tanev exits early and poor Jake was cursed.
But then… the Leafs fund a way.
This goes back to my comment a couple of videos ago. Does the regular season matter? Should we care? F YES and this game is a perfect example as to why. A game like this full of adversity and you find a way to win one that you have no business winning. Games like this you can BUILD on for the playoffs.

Steve, if you wanted to upset Bruins fans, you should have mentioned that Montreal had a 3-0 lead over the 'Canes, and that game ended in a 4 goal shutout for Montembeault.
Since the 4 Nations tourney, the Leafs are playing a much more determined brand of hockey. It's like what good teams do to get ready for the playoffs, they used the all-star break as a season marker of when to start getting in playoff mode. It's what I've been begging to happen under Sheldon Queef's coaching every year but it never happened. Now under Berube, this team looks like they may actually be a threat in the playoffs and it gives me hope. They clearly used the 4 nations break wisely and I'm glad everyone on the team has been emboldened to try to score, not this antiquated 'get the puck to Auston or Willie' mentality.
I was also hoping Mitch, Auston and Willie would come back from the tourney with renewed confidence and become monsters on the ice for the rest of the season. Mitch clearly is but I think Auston and Willie have to confront their lack of compete level.
Auston hasn't been himself all season, maybe a health issue, but his and Willie are shooters, not play-makers like Mitch. It's like Mitch is the quarter-back and Auston and Willie are finishers. Maybe Mitch should wear the C cause out of the 3, he's the one creating opportunities.

The only threat to the leafs this year is the Panthers, if they can get past them , they will take the east easily, but the problem is , this joke of a franchise always finds a way to fuck up in the playoffs
