He also kills penalties. The goal is less time on the PK and with Stanley on the PK, there's a better chance the other team scores and the PK ends early.
God bless Logan Stanley. He’s achieved something none of us fans can by playing in the show. But it’s time to go. We need a better defence man period.

When they do get a chance they make one bad pass and it is benched next 3 games….Stanley it is like… oh well only cost us 2 goals in third, cost Helly 2 shut outs in a great year and it is like they wanna move him up the lineup. I was done with Stanley years ago. Can't fight, gets knocked down by guys half his size all the time. Let him go for free on waivers at this point…. it will be a +1 in our plus/minus right away! When he got promoted to 1st pairing last game, that tells me either: they're trying to showcase him for a trade…or they truly think this guy can still develop into a top 4 at least.
It's not that I have a personal vendetta against Stanley, but he is just a liability out there. He's slow and not defensively capable.
Pionk and Stanley were both exposed BIG TIME against the Avs last year. BOTH should be LONG gone. But the ONLY guy taking the heat is Stanley. I remember Pionk and Samburg were responsible for 3 goals each in a game, and clowns were calling for Stanley’s head. Now do you want to talk about Pionks 2 penalties in succession, to almost lose the game against St Louis? Then we miraculously bail him out with a goal with 30 seconds left, and what does the coaches do? Put PIONK out with 29 seconds left. What does Pionk do? Iced the puck for NO REASON with 15 seconds left. 3 chances for St Louis, and the clown almost lost the game for us AGAIN. How many times do I have to repeat myself???
I think he would do well as a consistent ahl defenseman. He gets his playing time which keeps him fresh and he can be an 8th or 9th defenseman for the jets if truly needed
