I blame Zac Jones on the winning goal even though Shesty turned the puck over. He didn't look over his shoulder to see who was coming. He didn't try to slow down Mitch at all, probably because he didn't know he was there. And in all likelihood didn't yell to tell Shesty to hurry because of the above. No on ice awareness at all.

Goaltending is why the Leafs are winning these type of games. Last year’s Leafs team would have lost this game for sure.
Slop fest . Can anyone tell me why teams like the leafs , bruins , rangers , even devils, play this score early in period and then tongue punch each others fart box for the next 15 min of play and not score . I’m watching the other 2 games that are on tonight and it seems like they know how to score in 5 6 min increments to keep my attention.
I just can’t deal with Lafreniere anymore. Time to trade him. It seems like ever since he signed the 7 million dollar contract, he plays with absolutely zero passion. Seriously, it seems like he really doesn’t care. Panarin also just very lackluster effort these days. Also, Igor letting in 3 goals on like 12 shots. Not good for our 11.5 million dollar goalie. He has had an awful year. They should trade him also. Not because he is so bad, but to free up money to be able to get some better players. He is not at all worth 11.5 million dollars. Trade deadline coming up. Rangers need to make some moves and get themselves prepared for the next few years. I just don’t see them doing much this year even if they make the playoffs. Not a bad game overall for the Rangers tonight. A few defensive breakdowns is what cost them the game. But my biggest takeaway from tonight is that Lafreniere has to go. I had such hopes for him but at this point it’s time. It’s been like 4 years and he is not playing up to being a number 1 draft pick. If you look at one of the goals (where they got caught on a bad change) once again it is Laffy dogging it on the change just coasting to the bench, and Toronto takes advantage with the stretch pass. Ugh!
The leafs have been outshot 3 of the last 4 games, and this time it was 17- 35. I'm impressed that they continue to find a way to win, but … wow.
How does this leafs team win games. I haven’t watched them play one decent game in months.
