I think Lindgren is finally feeling better after his jaw healed after having it broken in a preseason fight. Solid depth defenseman. He would be ideal as a 3rd pair D who can fill in on the Top 4 if there’s an injury. He’s great on the PK too. Also, not playing with Fox may actually improve his game. He seemed to be doing too much to compliment Fox’s game – too cautious to be offensive as a stay at home defender and too physical. I expect him to play better in CO than he has all year thus far.
This breaks a streak of always having a player called Ryan that had been running since 2005.
Yeah as a ragners fan, Ryan was also great, vessey needs more time to develop but we loved him. Hard to see those two go when we are pushing for a wild card spot this season

They aren’t just top wildcard. They just tied Minnesota. Yes min has a game in hand. I don’t think it will workout for them. And Colorado making that goalie change is insane. They’ve been the best tandem in the league. Blackwood has been probably one of the top 3 goalies in the league since the trade. His numbers are wild.
Parssinen might be the 3rd line center Rangers need since Chytil was traded. De Haan might be flipped for a pick
As an Avs fan, I really think this was an important trade. Not the most important, but important nonetheless. We needed a D man, and Lindgren is a good one. If he can avoid getting his ass kicked by Kadri again anytime soon, that would be a bonus.

as an avs fan, i like this trade… we are going to compete very well. I don't think they are done either
The underlying factor is the dynamic in the avalanche club has revamped quite a few players careers, lindgren is +100 d man if he finds his stride again with the Avs that’s a dangerous player to add to a cup run

TBH Parssinen is a good player and is being undervalued here. He was shafted this year with the preds and didn't have much time to play with the Avs. Brunette has no idea how to work with "younger players" (for the preds that is sub 30 years old) and shipped many of them out over the last year (Tomasino, Parssinen, Fabbro, Glass, Askarov). I think Parssinen is a good 3C that can have a long career in the league. Willing to grind and has scoring upside

Lindgren is pending free agent that is unlikely to re-sign so Chris Drury decided to flip him. Vesey while plays with heart, is a 4th liner that can be replaced. Brett Berard was just called up and they still have Arthur Kaliyev. Defensively, they also had some depth even with Fox currently on IR. (In addition to getting DaHaan, Chad Ruhwedel, Connor Mackey, Erik Brannstrom, Zac Jones and Ben Harpur with NHL experience) As a Rangers fan, definitely sad to see both guys gone. I cant wait to see what Parssinen can do. (Vaak and Borg have worked out well for them so far)
