Yeah isn’t that special, Refs going to Ref , Wings need to play better.
It cost them at least a point. Anytime a player interferes in any way and it leads to a scoring chance, it gets called. This was the refs being garbage as usual. I think the refs didnt want to affect the game but them not wanting to make a call affected the game. I was pissed when there wasnt a call.
Talbot has played in outdoor games before. I was hoping Lyon would get the start.
No defense, no wins. Todd knows that.
We should have worked harder, drawn more penalties, and given our lethal power play more chances to blow the game open.

Between the too many men, non/ call during the four nations, the dirty hit on Rasmussen, the loss of Copper on a scrum caused by a CLEAN hit, AND this non-call, I’ve given up on the officiating this year. They need to be held accountable.
Poor defense and goaltending cost them that game.
These two games showed the Wings one thing: Consistent and hard forechecking is a major factor in a hard-to-play-against team.
Also, that missed call was absolute shit. NHL, ESPN and Vegas had to give CBJ their feel good moment and get the W for Johnny G. Also can’t let a Michigan team beat an Ohio team in The Shoe I guess.

Talbot needs to be better, yes two of those goals were horrible defense, but he's gotta track the puck better, went down in the butterfly too soon on the third goal and didn't track the puck well throughout, they almost had another goal on a wristwatch above the circle, meanwhile the other goalie played well, can't continue to have that with this depleted forward core, johansen and edvinson had their second straight terrible game, can't blame the refs for this one, and larkin and razor have to figure out a way to play inside and not on the perimeter, too much standing around instead of moving in the offensive zone, might need to break up those two at least for a game, and for God's sakes please bring up a center that can play with berger, preferably danielson, they are getting nothing from him playing with motte or veleno, danielson may make mistakes but it can't be worse than a nothing burger from the 3rd and fourth line and soderblom being out hurt them particularly tarasenko tremendously. Either yzermqn gets a free agent or just bring up danielson because this is not gonna get easier and they'll be out of the playoffs if they continue to lose, so what does it matter if they bring him up now or later.

they only gave up 21 shots, the goal tending has been bad for about 6-7 games consecutively. It is a major problem right now and needs to be handled or once again the wings will be out of the playoffs. Even during the last win streak the goalies got bailed out by the offense.
Even though the wings had more shots theres too many fly bys in front ofnthe net, they dont stop after taking one shot, columbus basically stopped in front of the net and made deteoit clear them out, thats what good committed teams do, cant win tough games with fly bys, but that also might be where guys like ras and copp are missed, hesvier bodies that move slower but can occupy net front space, if a guy the size of debrincat can do that then everyone should have a better commitment to getting there and staying there, but theyre not getting that from the first line which is why columbus very easily neutralized them. Lqrkin is the captain, he needs to set that tone, 5 shots is great but not if he isnt willing to take a hit to score a goal or at least open an opportunity for another forward who needs to follow after him. Very disappointing from their captain.and the last two games both larkin and raymond have been lazy on their back checks, they gotta be better in these big games.
Show time has 6 game winning goals ,2 overtime winning goals and the guy don't miss in shoot outs

The playoffs are an after thought at this point, there is no way this team recovers. Terrible defense, terrible goaltending, do they even go on the ice during a penalty kill? A lot of hope for this team, but just like last year, they're failing to win the games they should.

the no call makes me mad, but there are no calls all the time. the wings got out muscled and out hustled in both games against that garbage-tier team. should have buried them in both games, the weak links just didnt want it enough.
Look, I appreciate you two, but you're both so wrong about what detroit needs. Yes improvements in d would be great, so would a #1 goalie but they had a 2 to 1 shot advantage after the first and trailed in o zone possession, why is that, because they are one and done with their shots, meanwhile you have the other teams standing in front of the wings net and cycling the puck all day because they are short on skilled or heavy forwards who can and are willing to commit to getting the puck out ofntheir own end. Think about it, or watch whatbhapoened the last game, their forwards are always outnumbered on the boards, they rarely win those battles and our d are having to skate 200 ft to keep the puck in the ozone, that wouldn't be happening if Tyler motte who God bless his hustle but is just not good enough and veleno who just can't get it done weren't our number 3 and 4 centers. I'm not giving raymond and larkin an out but when you have to rely on two lines to provide all your offense, and there's no venter to feed berger the puck so he can dangle instead of being resigned to being a mucker, you got problems and inevitably when your d is always carrying the puck down the ice to behind the net because you have no drive or board battle from your forwards you're gonna have exhaustion from your d, and for God's sakes someone tell chiariot and hall to not to go below the circle ever, complete waste of their ice time, they should be hammering guys in their own zone and shooting the puck from the blue line, not carrying down below the circles, which inevitably when they do that reduces their net front presence and energy to fight in their own zone, even edvinson has done it so much that I can't help but believe it led to him not getting correct body position on the pp goal.

That ref needs to be fired
This is the first game in a while where I can honestly say the refs got the call from the Commish. This is all they say. You know what's at stake here. Make it look realistic and not obviously fixed. We want the race to go down to the last game of last year. We havn't decided who the lucky contestants are going to be yet. We are becoming a pay to play league though. The teams that will generate the most revenue for the league will be in the playoffs.
I hope this doesn't turn out like last season where consecutive losses to the Senators, before the trade deadline, lead to Yzerman selling rather than buying. We are so close. A good move could be the difference but I am afraid Yzerman won't want to do anything significant.
Firstly, I'm still mad about that bullshit non call. As bad as the one last year that broke Copps face and led to a game losing goal against the Wings too. Danforth goes right into my 'hate you forever' tier. Hope someone fights that guy next time. Hes a clown. He also made the head contact with Soderblom. Sure it might have been accidental but these things are enough for me to hate him.
That all said, Talbot sure didn't have a great game compared to Elvis and Im not a fan of Elvis.
