  1. The Penguins stupidly got rid of Guentzel as a playoff hope and kept an aging roster just to keep us nostalgic fans happy… Yeah, I'm ready for this season to be over. Leafs, take this win. Us Pen fans deserve to lose. 😂

  2. It's insane the run the Leafs and the teams from Florida have been on… Meanwhile in the Pacific the best streak is from the 3rd worst team the Ducks… 6-3-1 lmao can we just play in the West please. The teams are a joke.

  3. Every time Gord miller or anyone mention blumquist or whatever his name is I think they’re about to say blumpkin . Hearing a professional announcer almost say blumpkin is funny.

  4. dominating until…Rielly's lazy sloppy play turned the tide. Please Tre trade this stiff!

  5. Dewar had a….he….I think…Dewar was poo in this one. Reilly was poo too…..hey if you think Reilly is a good defender. Check his plus minus on the season and compare it to literally any other player who doesn’t play for SJ or CHI and let me know how he stacks up.

  6. Being a Leafs fan and hockey fan in Edmonton is awesome. Hockey starts at 5 and ends around 10. I get to watch all the games. I also have access to Oilers and Flames games. Junior hockey is also pretty awesome here. I have access to WHL, BCHL, and AJHL. Watching WHL games in an NHL arena for under 30 dollars is pretty wicked.

  7. If they trade Knies or Marner I'm done as a Leaf fan!!!! I couldn't handle that! I would rather them get rid of Matthews than Marner!!

  8. I remember a buzzer beater goal against the Islanders in the 21-22 season that was almost as close as the Knies goal.

  9. this is what Woll does. he is a solid and pretty consistent goaltender, but then he'll just throw in a stinker which can always be anticipated by seeing how floaty he is around his net.
    if you see him sliding around you know it'll be a long day

    however its just the one game, and he'll be back to solid footed consistent Woll again next game

  10. You can not know where Maine is as long as I can make jokes about not being able to find Newfoundland and my dog…dad joke😂

  11. Don't worry about not knowing where Maine is. It's in the United States and that's all you need to know. Americans themselves don't know where other states are unless those states are on their borders. In fact, Americans don't know where other countries are. They think, f'rinstance, Ukraine is part of Denmark.

  12. it's not a conversation, it's stolarz. i'm baffled when someone refers to it as a "conversation". that's great woll had 2 good games against boston a year ago…i haven't seen that since. in fact, at least half the games he's played he is very similar to samsonov, good and bad. leafs already have an abundance of players where you have to take the good with the bad which is why they never win anything. ex: nylander looking dopey again before scoring the GWG.

  13. Feels like you're still riding on a high from the 4 Nations. Videos have been great since then.

  14. Leafs were outshot 4 of the last 5 games, and yet they won all of them. Leafs are doing just enough to win.

  15. woll had the same stats as stolarz just a couple weeks ago. He is an insane goalie and every goalie has a couple off games…

  16. That's no breakaway. That used to be called a goal suck pass, or just pain offside.. That's a pass that only exits because the US loses its collective mind if no one has scored in the last 5 minutes. Same mind set as no tires.

  17. Is the less than great pp,pk, and general play because their coaches are no good or is it that all the money they pay for great ,elite players is paid to those that don’t give 100precent or even care about winning a cup. If not that what is it. Yes they are winning but not like elite teams, by the seat of their pants.

  18. Of course, being a US leaf fan, the two games I go to are the one where Staal scores a hat trick on them, and…. whatever that was.

    I think I might be cursed guys.

  19. Panthers fan here! Still love watching you after all these years. Hope you have a great rest of the season!

  20. Your a podcaster, tend to your podcast and leave goalies, Cam Ward and Garret Sparks in particular, ALONE! Felix Potvin doesn’t like you and neither do I. You suck at hockey.

  21. Matthews and Marner were not on the top pf their games yesterday. But they got the W.. Take it and move on.

  22. I would keep Matthew knies over Austin Matthew’s. I think he has done substantially worse since becoming captain. Last season might have been his pinnacle.

  23. Btw Steve when the Leafs visit the west on Saturday, it's most likely an afternoon game for the players, at the latest, late afternoon. Like you I too prefer an afternoon game. 7pm ET by me is 2am! in my locality. I mostly wait for the next morning, to view five to ten minutes of recaps.

  24. Congrats, they played a team that is depleted, far put of the playoffs, and had played a game that started less than 2 hours prior and only won in OT. I would say Toronto SUCKS, and sucks bad.

  25. I am so happy I went there. 5 hours drive one way definitely worth it. About third of the audience were Leafs fans.

  26. Love it haha. Great job Steve. Glad I found you again on here. Missed your reviews most of the season (complicated, long story).

    I think The Leafs need to make a few deals though to counter what the Panthers just did. Bear with me, I have broken them down here. Let me know what you think;

    To Toronto:

    Braydon Schenn – $6.5 million until 2028 (50% retained by St Louis, then 50% retained by Columbus) – Cost on Cap drops to $1.625 million

    Colton Parayko – $6.5 million until 2028 (50% retained by St Louis, then 50% retained by San Jose) – Cost on Cap drops to $1.625 million

    To St Louis:

    Max Domi – $3.75 million until 2028

    Connor Timmons

    Toronto’s 1st Round Pick (2026), 2nd round pick (2027) and Future Picks (based on this years Playoff performances, no higher then a 3rd in 2027)

    To Columbus:

    4th round pick in 2027

    To San Jose:

    4th round pick in 2026

    Then I call up Nashville and do this;

    To Toronto:

    Luke Schenn – $2.75 million until the end of next year (50% retained by Nashville, then 50% retained by Anaheim) – Cost on Cap drops to $680K

    Ryan O'Reilly – $4.5 million until 2027 (50% retained by Nashville, then 50% retained by Chicago) – Cost on Cap drops to $1.125 million

    Jonathan Marchessault – $6.5 million until 2028 (50% retained by Nashville, then 50% retained by Utah) – Cost on Cap drops to $1.625 million

    To Nashville:

    2027 First Round pick

    Nick Robertson

    David Kampf

    Artur Akhtyamov or Dennis Hildeby (Their choice)

    To Chicago:

    Ryan Reeves and a 2025 6th round pick (Bedard could use the muscle and protection)

    To Utah:

    Calle Jarnkrok – $2.1 million – expires after next season (They – Utah – are making a playoff run)

    To Anaheim:

    5th round pick in 2027

    I would try to get Brandon Tanev out of Seattle;

    To Toronto:

    Brandon Tanev – $3.5 million (50% retained by Seattle) $1.75 million – UFA at the end of the year

    To Seattle:

    Pontus Holmberg – $816K RFA at the end of the year

    Lastly, I would still go for Laughton in Philly;

    To Toronto:

    Scott Laughton – $3 million this year and next

    To Philly:

    Nikita Grebenkin – 825K RFA at the end of the year

    2027 2nd round pick

    So this would add;

    Brayden Schenn, Luke Schenn, Colton Parayko, Ryan O'Reilly, Brandon Tanev, Scott Laughton and Jonathan Marchessault

    Money in: $11,440,000

    Leaving the Leafs Roster;

    Max Domi, Nick Robertson, Ryan Reeves, Connor Timmons, Calle Jarnkrok, David Kampf, Pontus Holmberg and a bunch of draft picks

    Money out: $13,850,000

    The roster would look like this;

    Forwards:

    Marner – Matthews – Knies

    Nylander – Tavares – Marchessault

    Laughton – Brayden Schenn – McMann

    B Tanev – O'Reilly – Lorentz

    Extra: Max Pacioretty (Currently injured)

    Defence:

    Reilly – Parayko

    McCabe – Tanev

    OEL – Benoit

    Extra: Myers

    Goalies:

    Starter Stolarz and Woll backs up

    I know this won't happen but this is what I would try to do…Thoughts?
