I believe they were only booing him because they knew it would get to him and it worked. He had a poor game and lost. Simple as that.
"A lesson in perspective…" Of what, kowtowing to an ungrateful fanbase. Fans are NOT special little snowflakes like they pretend to be. The fans have no reason to complain because they will never leave. Their need for entertainment is too much to ignore, so they will always be there.
I'm glad to see guys like Jack put the fans in their place and hope more players will follow suit. It's time to remind the fans that without the players, there is no NHL.

well said. i hated jack when he was here. premadonna with a bad attitude. he's not mcdavid and that was his biggest flaw in buffalo. we sold out for mcdavid and got the conciliation prize.
dont believr for s decond that his neck was the reason for him wanting out. he played that card to get his ultimate goal. he created a wedge issue out of the injury so that he could use as reason for wanting a trade. he was a terrible influence in the locker room. i cant blame that all on him though. the sabres treares him ao food he felt entitled to make the locker room and front office go through him.
For a while the rumor was that evander kane and eichel had grown too close and that kane was a bad influence on jack. so we traded him.
next came his issues with ryan O'Reilly who said he 'lost his love for the game" while playing with eichel. trade him…he wins cup mvp.
then dan Bylsma had to go cuz he was "relatable to younger players" nvrmnd he cut his teeth on the team usa 18 and under and coached a rookie crosby and malkin. fire him. then phil Housley ran too many hard practices…fired. ralph krugers system wasnt good enough…fired
