1. He is a solid defenseman that doesnt make many mistakes, hes crucial on the penalty kill. Yeah he doesnt score but this is a good core guy to keep around

  2. Carlo has been playing great as of late, he has covered up how truly bad Zadorov is… carlo is a great PK guy (he plays alot of PK cause his D partner is always in the box). Only way I see them trading him is if they get a huuggee offer for him.
I do see them moving frederic if they can, key word if they can.
the goalie situation is going to be interesting the bruins have:
swayman (no matter how much people bitch he isnt leaving)
    Koprisalo
    dipietro
I believe that dipietro is for sure NHL ready, but they may either use him as trade bait, or give him an other season in the minors. Korpisalo I would like to see him be moved but not sure what team would want him and for his cap hit.
I doubt we will see any big moves between now and friday, I would not be surprised if we see sweeney not make any moves at all.

  3. between now and July 1st reminds me of 2015, when everything is on the table. the team is almost in the same position. the idiot should have moved Loui Eriksson, who definitely had value. and there was zero chance he was going to resign.

  4. I am thinking the B's resign Marchand, Move Brazeau, and, if they move Carlo, I am good w. that, too
But we'll need some D men to take minutes and PK

  5. If the BRUINS want to rebuild or compete to both enter the 2025 playoffs and get past the first step, they will have to offer players who have good market value while keeping a framework of experience, talent and intimidating.

In my opinion, we should keep: Pastrnak, Marchand, Elias Lindholm, Kastellic, Poitras, Brazeau, Lysell, McAvoy, Lohrei and Peeke.

For the others, they should be offered to receive younger players (in terms of athletic age), faster, more skilled, more physical and intimidating.

Carlo is a defender who only has size as an advantage. He is not fast, his recovery of the attack is bad, his shot is weak, not to mention that he always seems hesitant to play hard physically and that he loses his coverage too often. But, his size makes him attractive to many NHL teams.

As for Frederik, he has forgotten why he got a regular position in the major league. His presence on the ice no longer bothers opposing players. Now, since he is coveted; then, let's get the best out of the auction.
In the end, since the decision-making bodies are still the same (Neely, Sweeny, Sacco), we should not be overly deluded. On March 7, after the three o'clock p.m. strikes, it could once again be a mess.

  6. I don't like the thought of Carlo leaving, but I think we as Bruins fans have a hard time accepting the fact you have to give up something of value to get something of value in return. Part of that is having a team near the top of the standings for more than a decade, or maybe we're still gun shy about getting fleeced on the Joe Thornton trade, or seeing Sweeney and Seabass screw the pooch on yet another 1st round draft pick But unless the B's were going scorched earth and completely blowing up the team, you're not going to lose a player like Pasta or McAvoy, H. Lindholm (aside from being injured) doesn't have the easiest cap hit/term to stomach for playoff bound teams, Lohrei is still in his development stage, so in reality, Carlo is the most expendable, yet VALUABLE asset they have that can get you the biggest and meaningful return moving forward to "retool" or whatever it is they're going to do. I guess you could put Swayman in that category, but that would most likely be disastrous to lose him in the short term, maybe even long term if he turns things around next season.

  7. 2 or 3 seasons ago I'd love to get rid of Carlo. He defended so bad I couldn't stand to see him in front of our goalie. He improved so much since then that now I'd feel kinda bad if he gets traded unless we get a really good offer.

  8. I think the Bruins should sell whatever they can, but to me, Carlo is low-key a core player. I’ll be real with you guys. I’ve never been his biggest fan as a player…and I don’t think he’s irreplaceable or anything, but I didn’t think we were going that far in this direction, because he’s pretty much a fixture in our top 4. All I’m gonna say is it better be for something man…. You could’ve dangled the guy like Carlo out there years ago and got a HUGE return. So if this basically turns into a going out of business sale for anybody not named Pasta/ McAvoy, then I think it could be the last straw for Don Sweeney and rightfully so. Because you could’ve got some actual value out of a few of these players instead of waiting until the team fell apart and you have literally no option but trade everybody to try and save your job. I guess that’s why it’s hard for me to trust Don Sweeney at the helm when it comes to such an important turning point for the Bruins. I don’t think he should have more control over their future, and this is likely his last full season here. With how important this deadline could be, It’s hard for me to be confident.. I fear he will try something desperate on his way out the door

  9. 1st round for Carlo? sounds good on paper but 1st rounders are an exercise in dice rolling as we've seen in the past. Better the known quantity than the unknown?

  10. Bruins need a much more mobile, quicker, puck moving defense .. Carlo doesn't fit that description .. he's big, but doesn't use his size IMO, plays small.

  11. Carlo was one of the best defenseman last year, this year has not been good. Adjusting to having his first child, I don't know but he hasn't played well. Bruins need a first line center and someone else who can finish other than Pasta. First round pick would be good but last years first round pick is playing on the 4th line at Boston College….

  12. I hope they retain Marchand, he should retire a Bruin ! i am not glad of all the Bruins injuries, but some good could come from them. All these new players they're bringing up are hungry, and eager, and might have a positive impact on the team. I am not saying we'll go on to the playpoffs, but maybe, just maybe the team will at least try harder, and play a full 60 minutes !

  13. I would like to see atleast one full season with Geekie and Pasta together before seeing Geekie leave.

  14. They can’t trade Carlo to
Only then turn around to look for a Carlo-type player. They need Carlo to balance the crazy offense some of the others have.. like
Lohrie staying up in goal area for 15-20 seconds at a time.. not
To even speak of #91 and his puck watching.

  15. I don't have a lot of faith right now they won't screw this up. it still irritates me they fired the coach when it was obviously not his fault and surprise of all surprises it did zip for the team. Now we have to wonder if they are even set at coaching. I think we are hosed. I'd love to see them pull a rabbit out of the hat, but I don't see it happening. I think we are starting a down time, and it is probably going to last for a while.

  16. I'd like to see them trade Swayman before they can't. Run Korpi and Dipietro. Get a solid player back for Swayman or use that cap space to get someone in the offseason. I've never been a Swayman fan… especially as a starter…and this year solidified that for me.

  17. Wouldn't mind the Carlo move at all.
Plays good for a game and then bad for 10.
The play usually dies when Carlo get the puck.
Would be sad to see him go….but…Go Bruins.

  18. I hope Carlo gets dealt for a pick. I'm sick of Carlo playing like a wimp when the guy is huge. Krug played bigger than Carlo

  19. It would suck to lose Carlo, but a mid 1st rounder wouldn't be terrible. I don't know that Carlo meets Calgary need for more scoring, though.

  20. Unfortunately, the day of the "Defensive Defenseman" has been gone for years. Create the Bobby Orr trophy for the best offensive defenseman. We already have the Selke trophy for the best defensive forward.

  21. Damn we needed Frederic for fights and policing the ice. Supposed to be big bad bruins now we are like the shitty squeaky mice wtf
