He got traded to Colorado
1st in 26/27 Ritchie and kylington
Washington wanted brock nelson they were too slow to even try and get him.
Just immediately traded Kylingyon to Anaheim for future considerations
bye brock </3 gonna miss you man! but it had to be done… god knows you wouldnt win a cup with the islanders! Good Luck! Hope you win big soon!
Gil, I’ll tell u what I heard yesterday at my local deli. One of the owners friends daughter actually babysits for brocks kids. I was told the children definitely don’t want to leave the island! I’ll expect brock to be resigning in the offseason. Let the flood gates open. Palms, jgp, mayfield, pellech,Casey, dare I say the captain?
Apparently Calum Ritchie got his first NHL goal against the Islanders…haha
Next up, Kyle Palmieri
Calum Ritchie only has 1 NHL Career Goal? and it was against us??..feel like we just got another average player…but the pros are he is only 20..and we got some draft picks
Its a win for the Islanders and a win for Brock
I re-did my rant post-29 trade. I've said all along 29 was a fit for central div. contenders and yesterday word was avs and stars were favourites for 29. So 29, dufour to avs for '26 first, calum ritchie now playing for gennies in ohl, conditional '28 third and kylington who was flipped to quacks for future considerations. Ritchie 13th ranked prospect on prospect list and has good size and skill top 6 c potential. Louzer finally faced reality-a future sell-off must take place. And ritchie, first, and a third plus a future pick(s) via kylington for a ufa who doesn't re-sign and underwhelming dufour is a good haul and probably best isles could ask for. Next up-21 probably to nj for one of their three seconds/prospect. Just like when lee went down for isles 21 was brought in for scoring help. Now the reverse may happen as 21 goes back to nj – andy fkn greene with hughes ltir'd. And isles get a much needed top prospect into system who wont be nhl ready till at least '26. ahl eligible after oshawa playoff (where pj judas, dehaan, and dal colle played) is over which meas no b'port till fall. Ritchie-14g, 53 a, 67pts. 60 games. ppg player last season. Now lets see what 21 gets isles-hopefully more future boost.
And to expect 10 and 7 to pick it up with 29 and probably 21 gone-? 10 hasn't produced consistently or on top line-yet. 7 just like with 11 was signed to add some top six, middle six scoring yet 7 along with 11 have scored only 9 g's so far so asking those two to pick it up is probably asking too much. 10 should be sold high while some value is there in a deal for a big scorer.
rip to the season as 2 20 g scorers on an offense starved team go bye bye. Maybe 18 can pick up some of that slack now?-HAHAHAHA.
You know as an avs fan and not brock hater you ripped off our g.m who has sucker tattooed on his head right now this trade reminds me of when the avs traded dale hunter to the caps and got a first and it ended up being Joe sakic so good look with your first and you got a really good prospect in return.
I bet Lou flips the picks.
Have to take my hat off to Lou on this one. Good job
Best possible outcome. Genuinely happy with Lou standing pat on offer and then trading for future.
