You can bet a million dollars that the Leafs won't make any significant deals; Knies is untouchable. However, with Shanahan and Tree at the helm—both cowardly, inflexible, and lacking intelligence—they are incapable of executing any meaningful trades. Their only strategy seems to be acquiring aging, small, low-scoring third-line forwards and sixth defensemen. Shame on them. Shanahan should be fired.

The Canucks can offer Boeser and something else. They have the cap space to resign Rantanen instantly for the money and term he'll want and EP40 needs a winger if he's going to be anywhere near worth his cap hit. He has to play with a highly skilled player. The problem is convincing him that the Canucks aren't a tire fire and given their reluctance to rebuild, they may have to.

i hope dallas give up a boatload of assets for this guy. He initially asked for 15X8, there is no way rantanen is worth that much. Dallas is desperate for a cup, teams like colorado and vegas didn't need to load up multimillion dollar player to win a cup. Knowing how the stars are they probably won't even get out of WC. They don't have championship caliber defense core, and oettinger is a playoff choker.
